if NZ get to defend anything at 6 rpo, I will join Amirfan in calling them undeserving in case they go through. They have been utterly **** and joyless to watch. The pitch has been alright: Indian seamers have taken pace off the ball half the time.with 23 balls and 5 wickets remaining DLS should pump up the target - I reckon this will translate to a little less than 150 in 20 overs
Apparently the 20 over score is 148, 46 over one is 237.if NZ get to defend anything at 6 rpo, I will join Amirfan in calling them undeserving in case they go through. I think losing all your remaining overs is the best bet because if Taylor gets back there after an hour he won't be a "set" batsman.Well, we can't afford to lose the rest of our innings to rain. Taylor needs to get back out there and somehow absolutely smash it in the remaining four overs.
Don' think that'll happen, word is it's going to rain for at least a couple more hours.Well, we can't afford to lose the rest of our innings to rain. Taylor needs to get back out there and somehow absolutely smash it in the remaining four overs.
Glastonbury was a like the Atacama Desert.**** off rain. Just maddening. It's not even June ffs.
I'd think DLS would add more to the score than Ross taking Bumrah apart with the form both have been in.Well, we can't afford to lose the rest of our innings to rain. Taylor needs to get back out there and somehow absolutely smash it in the remaining four overs.
And when they batted like they were conserving wicketsDon' think that'll happen, word is it's going to rain for at least a couple more hours.
Wonder if KW considered this when making the decision at the toss?
Happy with those from an NZ perspective.Apparently the 20 over score is 148, 46 over one is 237.

One of the better things in life is to wake up to a surprise win. Then you can look forward to the highlights. A loss only means you missed sitting through the agony.Lads, I've got work in the morning but was just hoping to stay up and watch our innings and maybe a few of the opening overs. Is it worth staying up a little longer? Will play resume shortly, or is it looking unlikely?
Thanks
Yeah I think you'd only get around 240 if you batted 50 overs so those are pretty favourable DLS calculations.Happy with those from an NZ perspective.
TBF the go slow approach looked horrendous, but such is the form of the top order (aside from Kane) that the Indian bowling would have probably just gobbled them up if they'd gone the positive route. But then surely Boult and Henry would have enjoyed a crack in those first ten overs, and NZ's batters would have preferred chasing a revised target. Truly a catch-22.And when they batted like they were conserving wickets
Well at least if it ends up being a 20 over contest, you won’t have to worry about using up Matt Henry early. Just use him for 4 on the trot.Apparently the 20 over score is 148, 46 over one is 237.

There seems to be a lot of indecision in the camp at the moment. Hard to plan when there’s some dicey form in the batting line up.TBF the go slow approach looked horrendous, but such is the form of the top order (aside from Kane) that the Indian bowling would have probably just gobbled them up if they'd gone the positive route.
