I read somewhere that they have 2 extra hours in hand for this game, so even if we lose some time here it will be quite a while till they start cutting overs. need to go check that, but if true then nothing to worry about yet.

they'll also still try to get 20 overs in the second innings, and if that's not possible we come back tomorrow. so game's not done here.

hope we're not in for a long wait to find out tho. **** you england

have a feeling this is going to be one of those games where we'll never know if the deck was holding a bit because england weather

Should get back out there. We did a bit of a South Africa 2015 at the toss by not considering a loss of slog overs and then the damp ball to bowl and field with.

Think the drizzle in the last few overs just quickened the pitch up slightly. We probably want it dry as hell tbh, then bowl horrible anti-cricket cross-seam and slower balls all game.

Yeah so weather doesn’t look like it’ll clear till night time. And weather looks okay tomorrow.

I don’t know how this works. If we start losing overs and NZ don’t get back out to bat, could India theoretically get set a 20 over score? We didn’t lose too many wickets, so I think DLS may be generous to us?

No overs lost until two hours are lost.

Rather like Saddam Hussein and the Weapons of Mass Destruction. NZ appeared to have believed the constantly repeated propaganda of 'batting first wins the game' rather than actually looking at the truth (poor batting conditions and high possibility of a D/L rain reduced target).
