Yeah, based on what I've seen so far id say India are favourites to win the cup because they can send down 40 overs of top class bowling. We can only send down 20 and England not much more
Jadhav+Pandya are a good deal better than most other sides 5th bowlers too

Zampa is a wicket taker
does he really?

englands attack doesn't hold up compared to india or the australian opening pair. they've got decent bowlers, but no one world class. they're all in on their batting which is op.

i thought lyon had greatly improved in odis? im surprised zampa was preffered
they didn't really give lyon enough of a chance to dethorn zampa, and zampa had his best run of his games for two years just prior to the WC

Dhawan mixes so much horrible and awesome batting. Always gives the impression you’re a chance.

Stoinis would be more effective if he had the keeper up to the stumps imo.

He’d still be rubbish, but slightly more effective rubbish

Alright, so what does "player x bowls a heavy ball" actually mean? Deceptively steep bounce/speed?

Be interesting to see how the 3rd/4th bowlers go. Kuldeep and Chahal are quality, while NCN (with the ball) and Zampa have never really done much. However, random Australians have a record of standing up under pressure in CWCs.
3rd/4th bowlers looking pretty average at the moment. No doubt NCN and Zampa will both get hattricks in the final

i've always taken it as 'this medium pacer being good does not fit into my world view so i need to find a reason'

though in this case i think they were using it as a desperate compliment to stoinis because his stats are so bad

edit - bounce is a good point tho. oram was always called a heavy ball bowler after injury and he was tall af
