I reckon Hales might enjoy the slightly more circumspect play of Bairstow at the other end - knowing he doesn't have to not get out whilst Roy inevitably does.

Yes they have generally bowled decent areas, though England also will be pleased with their position here. They've not looked to go too hard, Bairstow striking at 82 and Root typically travelling quietly at not too far off a run a ball either. A solid base being laid for Stokes, Buttler, etc.
