I'm nervous about this. I expect Jayden and Shamar to clean up but we have no spinners in this lineup and the batting is woeful with Justin Greaves at 6.

Definitely people are getting fed up of him now. Rutherford is a better option for us, any day

I agree but money talks and CWI really want the super league to go well so the Guyanese stars need to play and attract the fans.

Weird match that one. Some amazing batting by both sides, mixed with some terrible bowling and fielding. It was certainly entertaining!

He wasn't dropped, he has been given permission to play the T20 super league in Guyana instead.

I am particularly disappointed with Pooran and Hety. If you are going to pick and choose when you represent the West Indies, they could at least look committed when they do bother. The shots they both played in the power play were awful and those two are supposed to be leading our white ball...

Forde is injured now, so Obed comes in. We need that left arm option, so hopefully he gets his form back. Agreed Springer for Hinds is a good pick.

Yeah the first 5 matches of the tour it was pretty much win the toss and you win the match. Here, batting second was a definite advantage, but it felt like we would probably have won if we had been slightly less brain dead in the power play and then held our catches. So well played England...

I think Akheil, Motie and Alzarri are formidable. Otherwise we haven't got much.

100%. The jeapordy of a contest has been missing which as a fan is difficult. It boils down to enjoying individual performances in those circumstances.

Our bowling sucks. Akheil and Motie are good as is Alzarri, but the rest really suck. I'd also bring in Shai to replace King in the next match.

I genuinely think that conditions dictated that. The ball swung all over the place, bounced and span. I honestly don't blame the batters today. We do, however, have a serious bowling problem. Alzarri being out exposed our attack big time.

PS come back Alzarri, all is forgiven. Walk off as much as you want. Every other seamer is rubbish, we need you.

TV money makes that impossible. I honestly don't have a solution unfortunately. This is not just a one-off, it's a trend, though it could also be we've recently played a lot at venues where it's particularly pronounced in SL, Antigua and Barbados. Doesn't take away from the excellent batting...

Maybe I'm being negative, but I'm really going off white ball cricket recently. Yes Butler was awesome, but it was like batting on two completely different pitches once the dew came in. Same thing happened in our favour in the ODI series and and in Sri Lanka in all but one match. I can say...

Literally half of his runs are against us even though we only account for less than a third of the fixtures he's played. Blimey.

Salt owns us tbh. I'd love to know his record against us versus everyone else in T20. He seems to be our kryptonite.

*Official* England in the West Indies 2024

I think we would have lost anyway given that ridiculous performance from Salt. But Shamar is not a white ball bowler yet. He needs some domestic experience first. Alzarri comes in for him when he's back, that's an obvious one, but tomorrow I agree, Forde comes in.

Pooran hopefully to come back, who averages 40. At this rate, he slots in for Hety. Batting certainly isn't our problem anymore. Yes we need to continue the good work to lower the dot ball percentage, but it's a pretty damn good lineup. The bowling needs so much work still.

I think a great knock by LL and us having no death bowling at all are the main reasons for defeat TBF. Though I do agree, our bowling is bad enough that we have to maximise every run out there. I thought Chase played a poor innings, cost us a good 10/15 runs. But that wouldn't have been enough...
