    *Official* Asia Cup 2023

It would be ironic though if the reserve day also gets washed out while the game between Bangladesh and Srilanka was completed without any interruptions.

How is the NRR and DLS calculated in cricket?

How is the NRR and DLS calculated in cricket, like is there any mathematical formula or a software where you put in the entire scenario and it does the calculation?

    *Official* Asia Cup 2023

Who does all the net run rate calculations? Is it the match officials? Or were Afghanistan's analysts were supposed to do this for them?

Players Who are Gonna Probably Retire AFter this World Cup

Yeah who knows about the next world cup many players may retire in between. I dont know about Root but Smith may (and I think should) retire and focus on test cricket alone.

    Martin Crowe vs Younis Khan

    Will sure do

    Martin Crowe vs Younis Khan

Yeah its not like Younis never played against quality fast bowling. I am pretty sure he would have still scored almost as many runs as he did now if he played in the 90's

    Crap Bowling Spells Thread

In my life span, I have never seen a crappier bowling spell than Pakistan's Abdur Rahman against Bangladesh in 2014 Asia Cup

Greatest South Africa Test Team of all time (Including uncapped players)

My bad think my knowledge of SA cricket is not as great as I thought it was

Greatest South Africa Test Team of all time (Including uncapped players)

Considering Amla played most of his career as an opener why wouldn't I open with him? As for Jacques Rudolph, yes I agree he might not be justified but I preferred him for his versatility in different positions. Also I personally admired his game so thats a factor as well lol

    Martin Crowe vs Younis Khan

Never saw Martin Crowe play, but looking at his stats he isn't anywhere near Younis as a batter

Greatest South Africa Test Team of all time (Including uncapped players)

Not a SA domestic cricket follower so I'll just name the best international XI in my opinion Graeme Smith (Captain) Hashim Amla Jacques Kallis AB de Villiers Dudley Nourse Jacques Rudolph Mark Boucher (Wicketkeeper): Shaun Pollock Dale Steyn Makhaya Ntini Allan Donald

    Steve Smith vs Sachin Tendulkar

Its upto him if he really wants to kill the debate of Test Cricket ATG, he will require a long career. Otherwise if he retires in 1-2 years he'd still be a great test player but maybe not the ATG

Do you believe slip fielding should factor in to your selection of an ATG XI that you intend to take the field

First thing is primary skill. If a guy's primary skills are unmatched then there is no dropping them on their secondary skills. But also your point is correct if we have to decide between 2 players of similar game level

Do you believe slip fielding should factor in to your selection of an ATG XI that you intend to take the field

As crucial as fielding is to the game, I don't think I would ever drop a player due to their subpar fielding skills. Let's say, if I were to compose an ATG T20 XI, there is no way I am dropping Chris Gayle just because he is almost useless in the field.

    Greatest ODI player?

A guy with 13000+ ODI runs and 300+ wickets, with a World Cup, Champions Trophy and Asia Cup in his bag. I think people are underrating Sanath Jayasuria

    Steve Smith vs Sachin Tendulkar

Smith is 34, if he plays for another 6 years he will definitely take over Sachin.

Which Part-Time/Golden Arm Bowler Will Take the MoSt Wickets in this World Cup?

For the sake of this WC, I surely do hope so

Boult vs Broad vs Shami vs Hazelwood vs Southee vs Morkel

Nahh as far as I remember NZ never won a T20I super over when Southee bowled and his economy rate is a bit high. But in one day cricket he was really good when he was at his peak in that 2011-15 era
