    Greatest innings?

Razzaq's was a difficult chance.. Now don't tell me Astle's 222 wasn't chancy, though it was an extraordinary innings nonetheless. If your talking about missed chances, Laxman lived through several run-out chances during his 281, one of them when he was on 99. Had there been a direct hit, he...

Who is the best number 6 batsman in Tests right now?

My pick is V.V.S. Laxman. Let the discussion start... [Peace]

    Greatest innings?

Why do you think Sachin's innings is "massively overrated"? Did you even watch that game? The way he dissected the Pakistani attack was spectacular. [Peace]

Barry Richards...saddest story ever in cricket?

Totally agree. Yea I forgot to mention Graeme Pollock. Sad.

Barry Richards...saddest story ever in cricket?

Barry Richards played 4 tests, scored 508 runs at an average of 72.57 with a highest score of 140. He was sadly forced to play elsewhere as a result of South Africa's sporting isolation. Who thinks his is the saddest story ever in cricket? [Peace]

Indian batsmen : still bunnies on pacey wickets?

All he has is speed. I don't hate him, just think he is way way overrated. Loved the way Laxman showed him up throughout this tour....forget the last match. [Peace]

    Favourite indian...

    1) VVS Laxman....my favorite player now...when on song, a sight for the Gods! 2) Sachin Tendulkar....icon 3) Rahul Dravid...fast becoming a great player 4) Sourav Ganguly...his batting might have declined in recent years...but as Dravid once said "After God, there's Sourav Ganguly on the...

    Most Overrated Player?

Why VVS Laxman? Because he scores heaps and heaps against Australia!? I don't understand the logic behind people's opinions sometimes. [LAXMAN ROCKS] [Peace]:saint:

    Ajay Jadeja

Ajay Jadeja: Is the worst actor I've ever seen. Was wrongfully implicated in the match-fixing scandal. Was a very good ODI player, the best reader of an ODI game in the Indian team for quite a while. Doesn't stand a chance of getting back to the ODI team against the likes of Yuvraj, Kaif...

The Indian selectors are the best in the world

As Dilip Vengsarkar once said, "The selectors are a joke". They really are. Mohinder Amarnath was dropped a handful of times for being a quality player. Robin Singh was picked on the tour of the West Indies in 1989 and was dreadfully overlooked until he made his ODI comeback in 1996 at the age...

    Our prayers with David Hookes

Yea David Hookes' demise is indeed very, very sad. Reminds me of Raman Lamba's death after getting a fatal blow to his head from a cricket ball while fielding. But Hookes' incident could have been avoided. I heard he was trying to break up a fight and got involved. Correct me if I'm wrong. May...

    Is Warne better than Muralitharan?

I would say they are pretty equal. They are both phenomenal spinners. Murali has a better record than Warne against India. But Murali is only a tad more successful than Warne because of a "deformity". I still think he's a fantastic bowler though. So they're both equally great. 8D

    Greatest innings?

For me, it doesn't get any better than Laxman's 281. A great, great innings. Coming in at 52/1, his side 274 runs adrift, amazing display of batsmanship. 44 boundaries, all of them along the ground. Amazing. I would also rate his 167 at Sydney in '99/00 as a great innings because he scored...

Indian batsmen : still bunnies on pacey wickets?

I'm with rik totally in his Brett Lee bashing. Bottom line is, Brett Lee sucks. I just hope he keeps sucking and becomes the laughing stock of the world.

    matthew hayden or brian lara?

Lara by miles. Hayden is good, not as good as Lara though.

    Hated Players

Glenn McGrath. I admire his abilities, but hate his hostile attitude. Second to McGrath comes Michael Slater. ****y and arrogant, but he hasn't played at the international level in quite a while. One thing is for sure, the country where both those players come from tells you something :P

    To End All Arguements

I don't know why people find it so hard to accept the fact that Sourav Ganguly is a world class ODI player. Look at this record in ODI's. I agree, when it comes to tests, he isn't as good as Laxman, Dravid or Sachin, but he would definetely make the cut for my World ODI XI. [Peace]
