Big 3 killing cricket stone dead

I kind of agree that there have been too many Ashes as of late, but you don't cut it down. It's tradition. The longest rivalry in cricket history.

I mean yeah. It just highlights how improbable it is.

Though I think this series underscored just how important Vettori was in world cup.

To be fair I was expecting more of a boult + southee show before boult injured himself. You guys really don't have that much coming up though? I thought matt henry looked decent in the world cup. That's what I'm saying though.

I would worry, because it pretty much means that there's no bowler who's able to rise on level with those batsmen. I dunno, if it continues this way it becomes batsmen vs batsmen, and to me cricket loses its allure when it stops becoming batsmen vs bowler. I'm also not sure if people only...

I did not think it was possible to create pitches flatter than the world cup. But there you go.

If you can bank on getting down that low on the order sure. On these flat pitches though that's not something you can bank on. If santner hadn't got out last over or if anderson is still in the squad then boy, it wouldn't be pretty. Whatever, not like 1/33 off the 2 overs was an effort that...

I really would not judge anything from getting southee out slogging in the last over.

    Hey, tactic worked.

Who else can they turn to for over 50? Root will get eviscerated too.

I can't tell if this was a deliberate strategy or just poor bowler management. Bonkers either way.

I actually have no idea why people consider rashid to be an attacking option.

I'll always be biased towards bowling though, because it's what got me interested in cricket in the first place. I can appreciate good batting but I just love bowling.

I like to see wickets in ODIs

Boy it sure would be nice if england can keep their fielding form for the ashes.

Road to the 2015 Ashes in England

His career is a constant cycle of getting injured and coming back. Don't think it's a problem for him.

Ah, so it's more about the age of being able to achieve it.

Is stephen fleming held in that high of a regard? There are plenty of other kiwi batsmen who scored more centuries than fleming.

Road to the 2015 Ashes in England

Starc has been bowling late in-swingers at a high speed for his whole career, if that's all he needed he would a success by now. He hadn't had the control and probing line needed to make those wicket-taking balls, though he has hinted at developing that.

That centurion deck was honestly dangerous with the way Johnson was bowling.
