Road to India in Australia 2024-25

Won't be 4-1 or 3-2 either way. Can already pencil in the annual Sydney wash out
  2. TheJediBrah

best team in world cricket right now

Root is the best in the world right now he's pushed ahead of Smith, and Kohli. Williamson below all of them
  3. TheJediBrah

best team in world cricket right now

Nah this is a bad take. Root is a tier above Williamson. Kane is the biggest fraud of this generation's batsmen. Massive home track bully

best team in world cricket right now

He's right the NZ bats are overrated

Which is bigger - The Ashes or BGT?

There's also history and prestige with regard to Australia v England sports in general, not just cricket. The Olympics is often a close-fought affair, Aussies winning Wimbledon, rugby, probably a bunch of other stuff too. Not to mention that they sent us to this beautiful land as convicts and...

Which is bigger - The Ashes or BGT?

They charge so much to go to the cricket there because the real value is it gets you away from the streets of England for a few hours

*Official* Australia limited overs tour of Scotland and England 2024

Well fought out lads, really took it to the Wire

Which is bigger - The Ashes or BGT?

Or there are a lot of Indians living in London

    2024–25 Australian Domestic Season

Like a nerd Bowled well though

    2024–25 Australian Domestic Season

Fell just short but **** Neser is good. What will it take for Queensland to bite the bullet and bat him at 4 or 5

    2024–25 Australian Domestic Season

Queensland's best batsman over the last 2 seasons is still at the crease but feel that this task is too much even for him

    2024–25 Australian Domestic Season

Will be a good win for the Vics this. Only a matter of time before Sutherland takes over captaincy from Cummins in all formats

Batsmen who spent their career in the wrong position

Even if not technically true, the gist of this is. That summer when Smith batted 4 behind Marnus and kept coming in at 2-350 was where it started going downhill for him, you could tell he was frustrated. Did a lot better coming at 2-10
  14. TheJediBrah

Which is bigger - The Ashes or BGT?

Doesn't matter. The die hard cricket fans have interest in BGT but for the vast majority of Australians who have even a passing interest in cricket (which is already a minority) the Ashes is all that matters. These people don't like cricket, they like the Ashes and the tradition behind it. And...

Batsmen who spent their career in the wrong position

Might have been better for Jayawardene but not sure it would have been better for the team. IIRC Atapattu spent a lot of time in ODI cricket playing in the middle order anyway to accommodate Jayasuriya/Kaluwitharana etc. And Tharanga was pretty prolific. I think most batsmen in ODIs post 2000...

What format do you play in club cricket?

Would have thought they were 5 over games judging by Tim David's inability to build an innings
  18. TheJediBrah

    2024–25 Australian Domestic Season

Is that how the bonus points work? Never used to be. The margin needed for a bonus point would, and should, depend on the total. 463 v 400 isn't as one sided as 123 v 60

    2024–25 Australian Domestic Season

First game was entirely down to Philippe who was their player last season so there's that Second game blown away by pure Testosterone in the form of Nads-than McMandrew quite explainable when you think about it

    2024–25 Australian Domestic Season

It's so that, in the case the players have to step out of the cricket ground at some stage, they won't have to interact with Queenslanders or Tasmanians
