The Andrew Symonds issue was handled quite well, and he has not been setting the world on fire in a recent Bulls tour either. McGain was the obvious choice for this tour. There are no spinners in Australia that are even decent, let alone test class. What would be interesting is if they were...

Indeed, 59.97 now. I'm hoping Clarke can get his above 50 by the end of next season, it shouldn't be too hard for him, he knows his game well, and as long as the pressure of vice-captaincy doesn't affect him, he will probably turn into a number 3 when Ponting retires.

Best finals series I've ever seen. I've only been watching league for 4 seasons though. :o It wont get much activity to be honest. I agree. Match of the season, with the possible exception of Brisbane v Melbourne or Melbourne v Warriors. One of the best finals series you will ever see.

Lets hope that the double failure from Katich presents Jaques with an opportunity, and like he did 12 months ago, performs again and cements his postition at the top of the order.....for the second time.

This isn't the NRL, but that game between the Jets and Magpies was so good. Shame the Jets couldn't come away with it in the end, was around 20 shots at field goal in the match. We needed to take our opportunities but didn't, we could have nailed a field goal 70 minutes out, rather than making...

I think the ideal series is 3 tests and 5 ODI's. I agree, but seeing that we virtually have no choice, I think 5 is the way to go.

Definitely a lot of truth in that statement. The standard of Australian Domestic Cricket is just mind-blowing. You don't realise it until you watch a game, and then it hits you why Australia has dominated the world scene for years. It's because of their junior competitions and lower grades being...

Krejza has been ignored for a a while now from Ponting, the second half of the last innings and 24 overs of this innings. Hoping he can pick up a 5fa or something here and prove to the selectors he was worth bringing on this tour.

Very good article, well worth the read. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Shame he has just disappeared so suddenly, he was so talented, such a fine bowler. I also like his swing and seam masterclass's on the net as well, well worth a watch for budding swing and seam bowlers.

I think that is White is guaranteed a spot in the side, we will run with something like this: 1. Katich - I do prefer Jaques, but I doubt they will pick him 2. Hayden 3. Ponting 4. Hussey 5. Clarke 6. Watson 7. Haddin/White 8. White/Haddin 9. Lee 10. Johnson 11. Clark Lee, Clark and Johnson...

Hmmm.... he was really good in the 2005 Ashes series, how did he just fall off the radar so quickly? Is he bowling dire or is it just your opinion and your desire that he doesn't play for England again?

Clark is doing a great job here! No follow on, and a decent total now. I am only going by the live scores, but he seems to be holding up an end well. I'm hoping he gets a half century, it would be great if he pushed on and actually got a ton! Hussey would get to 200 by that time, and we would be...

No matter where he bats, Flintoff is a must for this Engalnd team. If he bats 8, he has to bowl a lot of overs, or Collingwood needs to bowl more than people want him to. I'm not sure if he fancies himself as a bowler but he should not bowl more than 10 overs an innings. If Flintoff bats at 6...

Do you think Brad Haddin will be as a good a test batsman as Gilchrist ?

I think he will stick around a lot more than Gilchrist, and maybe average more by slow accumulation of runs. That said, if you are looking for quick runs, he can provide that, and has been ripping up the Australian bowlers for years in our domestic competition. But he will never have that aura...

Do you want to see the Aussies lose the series in India ?

I don't, but then again, I am a proud Australian! :D GO AUSTRALIA!

Australia have lost 2 quick wickets to Ojha and a wicket to Chawla, and are 7/207. Failure on our part, but whilst Hussey is still there, anything can happen. Johnson coming to the crease, more than handy batsmen, his average of 33 as aided by a 50 not out last season, but lets hope he can...
