    Cricket team draft

Damn. I was looking at Vass for my 3rd seamer. Still have 2 others in mind.

Has anyone played Peter Siddle in test matches? For me he has 24 wickets @ 31, and when he is only 24 or thereabouts, he is looking a real prospect for the future.

I just made 381* with Hayden in a tour match in South Africa, pretty good, hopefully setting up his form for the test series. He was going to make 400+ for sure, if it was more than a 3 day match.

I have been working with Krejza, working on his defensive bowling in the nets. He is only 25, and could be a part of the team for over 10 years, so I need him to find form now or in the next couple of months, or I will be switching to Hauritz/Casson or going back to the 4 quicks and...

Will we see more? Nice start.

    ICC 2006 ODI Strike rates

Yeah, mine is strange on 2008 as well. The batsmen will bat really slow, like you said, sometimes struggling to make 200 off 50 overs. Sometimes though Jaques and Hayden fire up the top and get us to 330+. Also, in Twenty20, I can't get past 170, making 120-odd and 160-odd.

Won the ODI series 2-1, the last two games I won chasing in the last over, and the totals were around 230. Close TSTL. New Zealand coming over now.

    Just a quick question

I got ICC 2008 yesterday, I am in mid-late 2008 with Australia only, no English club side. If I go for over 10 seasons, will new players pop up in the squad selection so when the older guys retire they have replacements or do I have to do something?

    Cricket team draft

Alvin Kallicharran 4399 runs @ 44.43, solid player, the type I need in my middle order. Batting at 3 for the time being, where he averaged 58. 1. Sid Barnes 2. David Boon 3. Alvin Kallicharran 4. Brian Lara 5. Michael Hussey 6. 7. Richard Hadlee 8. Richie Benaud 9. Ian Healy 10. Daniel Vettori...

I have a bit of a selection problem at the moment, Jaques is about to come back from injury and his replacement Katich made 92 and 40. Also, I want to get a spinner into the team, but Tait, Lee, Hilfenhaus and Johnson are doing so well, and Clark is struggling to fit into the team. EDIT: It...

    Phlegms half assed NZ Story

    Top stuff mate.

    *Archived* Whatever you like....

Wow. Just wow. Jaques scored a century in every one day match against the West Indies, all of them over 150. He scored 2-3 over 170! I went to Bangladesh, won the test series 2-1 IIRC, then lost the ODI series. However, White, Hughes, North, D Hussey showed to me that they are all capable of...

    *Archived* Whatever you like....

FFS, I just lost another One Dayer after posting over 300 in the first innings, Gayle and Chanderpaul making centuries to guide the Windies to another victory. My bowlers got carted again, Symonds ended up my best and everyone else went to all parts. I need serious help with these One Dayers.

I am looking towards the future, I am playing White here and there in some one day matches and the occasional Twenty20, at the moment Symonds and Watson are playing my allrounder, but I am playing Hodge or Dave Hussey ahead of them in tests, because they are in shocking form. I won the test...

    *Archived* Whatever you like....

Jaques is easily my best one day batsmen, in my first two games he made 175 and 154*. First game Australia was 5/323, and then we bowled out the West Indies for 131, Johnson taking 5-31, Hilfenhaus 2-35, Tait 2-37 and Lee 1-28. Second game, Australia make 2/309, Jaques 154* and Hayden 115...

I don't have an editor yet, but will be looking at getting one when I get my head around the game a little bit more.
