    Twenty20 Dream Team

. I realize that selecting Viv is realistic because he was very aggressive and striked at 90 in ODI cricket, but after the first line of your post, it makes you look like an idiot.

End of the Test road for Symonds

As well as the vice captain. He will play test cricket again for Australia. I don't think he should have been included in the Ashes squad, because he is playing poorly, in bad form, not scoring runs at domestic level and everyone expects him to just walk into the side. When he makes some runs...

    Graeme Swann

I can guarantee that >90% of English cricket followers will be selecting him in their sides. I've been looking here and at various other forums, and most people (can't actually recall someone who hasn't) had him in their XI, at least for the first test.

    Is test cricket dying?

Well, IMO, One Day cicket saved Test cricket, and Twenty20 cricket is killing it. Twenty20 cricket is here to stay here though. I don't mind it if we have regular test cricket, but not to much of it, so it is anticipated. It is far from dead, look at all the excitment leading up to these ashes...

    Picking my first bat...

Go to a store if you can and pick them up, and shadow bat. A couple will feel good and immeadiately suit. Then narrow down the shortlist, and pick one using price and feel as main guidelines, as well as checking out the bat fully eg toe, does it come with a toeguard, does it look good, does it...

    2009 Sides vs 2005 Sides

249 runs and 40 wickets IIRC.

    Official Match Thread or Threads??

A thread for each game, IMO. They will get so many posts, even the tour matches and ODI's.

How Many Centuries Will Phil Hughes Score?

2, with 4 half centuries. One big century (150+) and one <130, with 1 score in the 40's, and a couple of 60-70's.

    Ashes Squad Prediction

Been saying this for a while. For the first test, barring injuries or a incredible turning pitch, Australia should (and probably will) run with this; 1. Pillip Hughes 2. Simon Katich 3. Ricky Ponting (c) 4. Michael Hussey 5. Michael Clarke (vc) 6. Marcus North 7. Brad Haddin 8. Brett Lee 9...

    I hate Sreesanth

He is bainless, for sure, and a real idiot, but talentless? He isn't setting the world on fire with his bowling, and never will, but he is certainly decent. If he could just shut his mouth, it would be good.

    Ashes Betting

Well you sir, are an idiot.

How do you think Michael Hussey will go?

I agree with both these posts. I would like to see him make runs, and if he doesn't, I will be calling for his head, and I'm sure a lot of aussie supporters and possibly selectors will run out of patience.

***Official*** Australia vs Pakistan in UAE

I can't see Pakistan winning this series, especially with their lack of cricket lately.

    Johan Botha's action

I went to an ODI in 2006 that we lost against South Africa, and the crowd was going crazy whenever he bowled there was no ball calls and chucker calls everywhere. EDIT: I just saw one of my earlier posts in this thread, and I believe Shaun Taits bouncer has a bend, but as I said, it would be...

    Phil Jaques

Jaques or Hodge would be my reserve batsmen. Jaques can open and push Katich down the order, or Hodge can open or bat middle order.

    ***Official*** Australia in South Africa

In a full strength side, at the moment, no.

    ***Official*** Australia in South Africa

    No Hopes?

    Phil Jaques

Will he play for Australia again? The only way he looks like getting back in at the moment is Katich slotting down the order.
