Cricketers of limited talent who had International Success beyond their abilities

Shikhar Dhawan? I mean, look at his test average and compare with F.C. average (excl. tests) Test: 43.93, FC: 45.29 Now, compare this with his contemporaries: Rohit Sharma - Test: 39.97, FC: 61.44 Ajinkya Rahane - Test: 43.13, FC: 59.71 Lokesh Rahul: Test: 40.86, FC: 56.25 I would only say...

*Official* India Tour of England 2018

Very surprising to see Kuldeep's FC stats, would have expected them to be mid 20s. Probably got better as he went on tho, probably has much better stats in recent FC games (remember him taking heaps of wickets in Duleep trophy).

8 wickets in the match for Siraj. Has fantastic records in all formats of the game but was trash in IPL and the few T20Is he's played. Anybody seen him play FC?

Bumrah out of the T20I series - India's prospects seriously dented. Who should be his direct replacement?

    ***Official*** Australia in England 2018

Yeah England have a near-identical XI to the one that toured India in 2016/17 while India's spin has drastically improved - if Chahal and Kuldeep get good turn, I'd fancy India

    Who's better: India's top 3 or England's?

Reckon England have a pretty good chance of beating India in the ODIs, but personally think India are slightly better.

Yeah maybe but I've never seen Shaw bat anywhere other than opener so would not expect him at 5. IMO someone like Pant would be great there. Was actually quite triggered yesterday when Raina was named as the replacement for Rayudu - hoped Pant would be called up after a stellar IPL.

Easy win for India A. Thing is, if Shaw was called up (presumably to the one day squad), this would mean playing him as an opener instead of one of Rohit/Dhawan/Rahul, all good batsmen in their own right (even though I don't particularly like Rohit use to his insane inconsistency). Therefore...

Lol just when Rayudu might've been able to stake a claim in the ODI side, he's failed a yo-yo test, so is out of the ODI tour. Didn't think of him to be that unfit personally. Any ideas for who his replacement might be?

Yeah a strike rate of 111 simply isn't good enough in T20. I think he'll make it to the test team soon enough if he keeps up the numbers in FC though.

*Official* Afghanistan and Bangladesh tour of India 2018

Tall claims - Stanikzai just claimed Afghanistan's spinners are better than India's. Lol ??? Maybe in LOI, but tests? I'm pretty sure the Afg batsmen should prepare themselves to be wrecked

Also, anyone know if this guy, Hanuma Vihari, is good? Has some amazing FC stats but hasn't been picked, neither has he been talked about really. Hanuma Vihari | India Cricket | Cricket Players and Officials | ESPNcricinfo

In other matters, Shardul Thakur has been picked for the Afghanistan Test. Is he as good as the fast bowlers in the team at present? He's been a tad expensive in LOI but never seen him play first-class.

5 across 2 innings - 2 in the first and 3 in the second

Afghanistan vs Bangladesh seems to be interesting - reckon Afghanistan will see off Bangladesh through their bowling

Yeah I guess that’s true lol... who do you think should be India’s lead fast bowlers (like starting XI) in the test series against England later this year? Personally I’d have Bhuvi, Bumrah, Ishant and Umesh Yadav. Would normally have Shami as a definite in the starting XI but Umesh’s IPL turned...

Pujara has been playing quite well in the one-day cup - has scored 75*, 101, 73 and 82 in his last four innings. He’s even said he wants to make a return to the ODI team - do you guys reckon there’s any chance he will?
