    Best ever test series IYO?

Ashes 2005 is the one that springs to mind. First test series that I can remember every detail of what happened (I remember bits of 2001/2003-4 ashes and bits of the 2003 WC). Edit: Forgot the 2014 SA vs AUS series. That was pretty good too.

***Official*** Australia in Ireland and England 2015 (limited overs)

No but England seem to like to select 2 out and out seamers and then one reasonably decent seamer who can tonk the ball at 9. Willey fits into that role. If Jordan is fit I expect him to play ahead of Willey though. Woakes might be another shout, bat him at 8 and slot Rashid in at 9.

Hales Roy Root Morgan* Stokes Buttler+ Billings Rashid Jordan/Willey Wood/Plunkett Finn Is how they will line up I reckon. Not sure how Jordan's fitness is doing, IIRC he's missed a lot of cricket for Sussex recently.

    ***Official*** English Domestic Season 2015

Good to see Worcs get a first 50 over win of the season. Nice way to bounce back from the disappointment of Friday night. Get the final 50 over game out of the way and then back to crunch time in the championship.

Worcestershire move out of the bottom two for the first (iirc) time this season. Just need a few more positive results now. Game against Sussex with be crucial.

It's such a shame he isn't more prolific with the bat. He's keeping is arguably in the top 3 in county cricket.

    *Official* 2nd Test at Lord's

Be interesting to see how Aus bowl on that track. Early signs say a draw but never judge 'till both sides have bowled on it I guess...

    *Official* 2nd Test at Lord's

Probably wanted his bowling after Harris wasn't available. But he didn't bowl too many overs so they've picked Marsh to bat and potentially send a few down.

Joe Leach's mediums proving pretty useful this season. Up there in the wicket taking front. A good effort seeing as many said Shantry would be the leading bowler for Worcs this season.

Will we ever see a pure wicket-keeper selected to play tests for Australia again?

Read I agree with, but Jones was purely in due to his batting ability. His keeping, particularly in 2005, was very ordinary. If Read could have scored runs at test level he wouldn't have got a sniff and Read would probably still be England's test keeper today.

Bairstow averaging a useful 106 in FC this year. This is why he is so frustrating, he does nothing at International level but then constantly knocks on the door with big runs for Yorkshire.

*Official* 1st Test at the SWALEC Stadium

England to win this one. Brad Haddin isn't going to be able to bail out the top order like he did in 2013/14 ;)

Top performance from the Worcs boys. Will be genuinely competitive this year, should have won against Sussex and were in a good position to get something from the game against Yorks. Just need Mitchell to replicate his 2014 season form and it'll all be rosey for the Worcs lads I feel.

***Official*** England in Sri Lanka 2014

Good composed knock from Root and good knock from Taylor too. Still bugs me that Cook is opening the batting in ODI's. In ODI's you've got to be either the glue of the innings or scoring at a quick rate. Cook is doing neither at the moment, getting to 20+ off of 50+ balls then getting out.

    Vale Phillip Hughes

Can't believe this is actually true :( A truly great cricketer and from what I can gather an absolute champion bloke. A huge loss to not only the cricketing world, but the world in general. RIP Phillip Hughes. Thoughts go out to Sean Abbott too, must be a truly horrible moment in time.

Sorry to revive an old thread with a relatively off topic question, but can anyone name the song that's played here as Buttler hit's his first boundary (0:05 in roughly) it's been plaguing me for absolutely AGES now! Thanks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wcd_L5PCwk

***Official English Domestic Off Season 2014-2015***

Sam Billings is another interesting one. Should surely be Buttler's backup for the world cup, but if he was to carry on his 50 over form from the summer, could he potentially nip in ahead of Buttler? Doubt it, but it would be interesting to see what would happen if he were to put those kind of...
