*Official* Pakistan v South Africa in Dubai

Lots of questions being answered in terms of batting depth and the middle order. There's still question marks around no. 7. Should Albie be playing? Should be play a longer tail and move Botha there? Do we continue with McLaren? My personal preference is that replace Albie with Steyn and go...

When the ball is swinging and Albie's on song, he's nigh on unplayable. That's the only thing going for him though.

    South Africa Domestic season 2010-11

I read an article somewhere that Smith is actually left-handed. It had to do with his school days. But yes, I guess it's where you feel comfortable.

    Best Bowling Action

Rusty Theron... Taking on where Paul Adams left off or the only action that ends in the fetal position.

Highest 3rd wicket partnership for SA.

    South Africa Domestic season 2010-11

Funny how that is. 15 years go, the only lefty of note in SA was Gary Kirsten and then later on Klusener.

    South Africa Domestic season 2010-11

Rough day for the bowlers today. On the positive, Obus Pienaar picked up 3. Good player and should do well for the Cobras. I think there's a lot more talented batsmen out there though like Elgar and Rossouw.

    Best Bowling Action

Allan Donald. Fell away a bit in his action but it was smooth.

*Official* - Road to India in South Africa - 2010-11

I don't think it's a fair comparison given how good Kumble and Harby were in that series. I think their impact was negated partially by great Australian bowling especially by Gillespie, McGrath and Warne. All of them were consistent. And McKenzie was awesome in that series.

Sure. But winning in India isn't that easy. ;) If there was a major weakness, it would have been consistent in those series. Mishra and Kumble would have picked up a lot more wickets. Most of the wickets came from Harby though and the one match that they lost was on a minefield. It's also that...

In the 90's, sure. The evidence is minimal with the current batting lineup. Maybe Prince and Duminy (who is not in the current squad) but the rest of them have proven otherwise. I don't have to remind what you what they did to McGain.

    South Africa Domestic season 2010-11

I'll try and clarify. 10 years ago, the domestic system produced a lot of right arm fair-to-good medium-fast swing bowlers and because most pitches assisted them, they were incredibly successful taking loads of wickets in the FC domestic tournament. The issue was that most pitches outside of SA...

I said no one? Really? Agreed. Most of them were poor anyways.

I'm with you regarding Tahir in India although doing so leaves a really long tail if we include the regulars like Dale, Parny and Morne.

Albie looks sharper than he's been in a while. A couple of the deliveries he bowled in the CCL were incredible.

Ingram WAG. Delighted for him although he'll probably have to make way for Kallis when he comes back. Nice.
