Depending on how long SA want to stay out there and malicious they are, it could be a fascinating morning of cricket. Something this series needs actually.

Hmm? He had a fifty before that knock. Currently averaging 68 for the tour.

I think this says quite a bit regarding a fitness gap in the West Windies or the players aren't taking the right measures to not get injured. I can't remember a time when SA missed that many first team players. E.g. Steyn after every match thats 5 ice baths for a minute to loosen the joints.

Bull ****. Harris' figures for that session 10-2-15-0 The session yielded 39 runs from 25 overs, meaning they're going just as slow from the other end.

High scoring draws bore me. It's funny that they would prepare a pitch like this when they need a result.

    That's buffet bowling.

I agree, although Ntini is performing in England and worthy of a possible call up again. Other than that, if McLaren is next in line, that's pretty poor. And Tahir's eligibility can't come any sooner.

A bit harsh to judge Lopsy and Parnell based on the few test matches they've played.

Buying time for Tahir? The only other options are Botha and Robbie P.

I agree. Sammy would have got more out of that pitch.

Is the next surface going to be dead or will it be quicker?

Probably not the bat last on this pitch. Also because Morkel and Steyn had extended spells at the end of the 1st innings.

Yeah Morkel's 3 wickets at the top were far more valuable than Steyn mopping up the tail. Thought Lopsy was unlucky not to get his first wicket. Bowled well.

They're almost the same bowler, both tall left armers. Harris is way more accurate and Benn gets more off the pitch. Benn becomes a problem with the pitch does nothing and Harris can always just keep a tight line. I reckon Benn is more effective on this pitch but most pitches are not this...

Harris is better than Benn and we haven't seen a lot of Shillingford. Looks promising though.
