*Official* England in South Africa 2019/20

Whisper it, but starting to look like he belongs. It’s nearly time for Denly to give it away so will be important for Dom to bat deep here, which he’s shown he can do in the domestic game.

Yeah, I can only recall him doing it to Denly at Centurion though. Changing the subject entirely, I wonder how long it would take to get paralytic if you had a drinking game every time KP said “intent”?

He’s not done it a massive amount this series because of England’s batting lineup has been very obliging with their catching practice for him to dive across Rassie. I think this is a direct response to Denly batting outside of his crease to pull him back.

Right, any idea how Sibley is going to get any intentional runs off Maharaj, then?

How have the umpires bottled that second no-ball?

i don’t think it’s a secret that Sibley’s method is very leg side dominant, and clearly selectors do consider the “how” as well as the “how many” - see the delay and reservations about picking Burns due to his idiosyncrasies. Equally the fact that players like Smith have enjoyed great success...

It's amazing how this pitch has managed to go road > minefield > road in between the innings. No doubt it will turn into the WACA and Sabina Park's bastard lovechild one again when we get skittled for 93 next time around.

I don’t think I followed this test in particular detail. Probably due to school term time rather than holidays. Aaron Finch made a spectacular impression with the bat, didn’t he?

Okay we have First Test highlights now in the UK. India are 80/5 in the first dig and look all at sea... what happened?!

I'm enjoying listening to him at the moment. Seems very balanced and thoughtful.

I'm seriously starting to doubt the likely entertainment value of staying up all night to watch the rest of this game.
