Oh. Now I get it. /Shame

That was honestly a comment on the wind, not the bowlers. I wouldn’t have picked a couple of them personally, but they all did outstanding work in really tough conditions - that wind looked terrible and the pitch was playing pretty well.

I hope none of the bowlers get blown off Mt Vic tonight.

Take a leaf out of Doug Bracewell’s book and go easier on the booze. Alternatively, keep drinking and just make sure you don’t go out with a woman who owns a ****atoo and then offer to dog-sit someone else’s pets. Cricket is the source of all of my important life lessons.

    Allan Border vs Rahul Dravid

Both great batsmen with solid techniques, who both seemed to be clean bowled inexplicably often.

First wicket. And just quietly I thought that looked like a no-ball in the replay.

Three DUIs. To be fair to him, the last one was five years ago. He also looks much slimmer than he did back then, which makes me think he is taking his cricket and fitness much more seriously these days. Edit: three DUIs and a one match suspension and a broken foot after going on the piss with...

With a 122 kmph long hop! Great catch from Conway though.

I literally got out of my seat and walked out of the room when he said that.

If Nicholls gets a century here, does that mean Macewell is going to bowl us to victory?

Does anyone know what has happened to Joey Field this season? He doesn’t seem to have played at all, despite being a contracted player for CD. Google finds a mention of a shoulder injury, but that is about it.

Nice! I had expected the Plunket Shield game to be scrapped, but good on NZC for rescheduling it.

I will probably hex him, but Nicholls is looking better at the crease than I have seen him for a while.

There was deathly silence when Henry Nicholl’s name was announced at the ground, followed a few seconds later by one desperate person trying to compensate by clapping as loudly as they possible could. It seems Wellington is not a fan of his ongoing selection.

New Zealand looking a bit loose after the break. But isn’t it great to hear Grant Elliott back on the comms team?

I thought Kane was run-out “live” too. And then my phone beeped and said “NZ win by two wickets” and I realised my stream had slipped 30 seconds behind reality. Bloody great game again. And what a legend Kane is. And THAT is a much better way for Wagner to go out than limping off injured.

Man, whatever the outcome today it is worth mentioning how good the pitches have been for the last couple of tests.

I heard that comment and thought “nah, he can’t have actually said that” and then moved on.
