Amir down with what looks cruciate ligament damage. Looks so similar to the Welshman Simon Jones injury here at this ground in 2002. All but ended his career.

Enjoying someone being positive against spin for a change. Good signs by Renshaw for India.

Steady start by Renshaw and Warner. Seen off the new ball safely. Now attack the spinner boys. 8-)

This fact has not been mentioned...but could Pakistan having gone in with an all left arm pace attack be a deliberate ploy as four of our top six are lefties.

The fact he plays the ball under his eyes and does not push his hands past line of his eyes suggests he does have a sound technique. The other parts will fall into place in time. After all he is still only 20 years.

Jury is out on him..averages @50 SR 70 in FC cricket... hardly inspiring. For the moment he looks best suited to short format. I do have a lot of time thou for Ashton Agar and Fawad Ahmed. I would like to see both taken to India.

A good deal of those "plays and misses" were in fact good technique as he subtely brought the bat inside the line of the ball. He was beaten fair and square a couple of times...but that was top draw seam bowling on a helpful deck. It would have troubled even a seasoned batsman. let alone a 20...

I want a full pace attack. But Lyon i s a CA pet and will play even thou he is in pityful form. Sayers would be my choice as he is a genuine swing bowler... best suited to dusk with the pinkie. He has waited long enough to wear the baggy green.

Ok if I call you CT? I too am new here and I too used to call myself CT as you would already know M. I think both Starc and Hazlewood will have too much class for the Pak batsmen. Hazey should pick out Younis or Misbah as his bunny like he did Amla. My only worry is the baggies penchant to go...

You are talking of his facing ball after ball that would have got out batsmen with worse techniques? I like Renshaw because he is a rarity these days...he puts a high price on his wicket. We have two others, Usman Khawaja and Steve Smith.

I also think Dan Vettori hanging up his ball also has hit the side hard. He was such a great competitor. Wish we could have poached Dan after Warne retired..I would like to see Dan take our own Ashton Agar under his wing. The young Aussie left armer already resembles the great man's action... I...

Got your crystal ball handy. Renshaw could also smack him all over the park. He is a talented young batsman.

Can only agree with that accessment. Pakistan yet to win in Australia.. can see that tradition continuing. The Pak swing bowlers will be competitive, specially in the day/niter on Thursday. But the baggies have too much class across the board.

My first post. Gotta say I was surprised the Kiwis did not give us a better fight.
