    Kumble calls it a day!

Could be, but I don't think anyone Indian has won as many Test matches for India as Kumble has.

    Kumble calls it a day!

One of cricket's greatest fighters. Steve Waugh has commented on Kumble being the most competitive player he has ever coem across and this is coming from the iceman. Though he didn't have the skills of Warne and Murali, he certainly did have the fight and courage at a level those two couldn't...

    ***Official Australia in India***

Well, everyone is asying Johnson has been Australia's best bowler. Not sure what to say there, but I don't think anyone expected the fast bowlers to do what they do in in Australia. I think Johnson and Zaheer have done well and probably as well as a paceman can do in India. While Clark and Lee...

    ***Official*** Australian Domestic Season 2008/09

Does Henriques deserve to be in the team? I don't think he should of bowled, nonetheless, his batting has been rather poor.

If Symonds does not return to the Aussie squad...

Tend to agree. Kallis is in a not-as-bad-Dravid-like slump.

    Fastest Left-Armer?

I got nothing substantial to back me up. But I always get the feeling that certain things from the past get over-blown such as speed. This is probably something I gather from the stories of J. Thompson - 170k balls etc etc.

    Official Ban/Warning/Fine thread

I'm not sure where I saw it, but I think it was a cricinfo article that highlighted the most fined players. A lot of Pakistani and Indian players were at the top of the list, Inzamam, Ganguly, Dravid and Tendulkar were rather prominent on the fine list considering that they were captains and the...

Warne or Mcgrath the bigger loss?

Warne. 1. He could bowl longer spells 2. As said, Clark is McGrath-esque, White is blonde and from Victoria 3. Added a bit with the bat 4. Good tactitian 5. Good slipper

    Kenya in South Africa

What was the last SA tour? I remember I made comments that were ridiculed by many in regards to Botha being captain in a warm up game. Well he is now.

    Next Warne?

Yes it is. Aurburn Central to be in fact.

    **Official** New Zealand in Australia

Can't see NZ doing too much. I'm just hoping for a good performance by Vettori.

Lance Klusener- contender for greatest ODI allrounder- or at least all-time XI?

By far my favourite ODI player of all time, so you'll know what my answer is. The simple fact is that he was a match-winner that could of done better - mainly citing the fact that SA should of used up higher when needed. In the 99 WC, even though he probably had the greatest series an ODI...

    ***Official Australia in India***

Aww, thats a bit unfair. I think the main reason people advocate Chopra is that he would be a good foil for Sehwag. Gambhir, in the last 18-24 months has taken his game to the 'next' level in all formats of the game.

    Next Warne?

I once scored a 50, all boundaries (that was the only way you could score) in the gruelling courtyard of some Auburn apartment blocks. I was touted to be the next Michael Atherton with a dash of Brian Lara. Also, when I was India about 3 months ago, my cousing and his friends played cricket, I...

    Dravids form last 2 years

He's too old to have a break. Break = retirement.

Gambhir takes his career average above 40. Don't think we'll see the likes of Jaffer, Kathik, Pathan, Chopra etc for a while.

You mean medium pacer. On that note, has anyone ever been simply classified as slow or slow-medium? I think I can recall back in the day on channel 9 that S. Law and possibly M. Mott were tagged as slow-medium.

    Dravids form last 2 years

Hope so too, my favourite Test player, if not probably can call curtains on his career after England or possibly even this series.
