Your team for The Ashes 21/22

If it wasn't for the fact he played for Australia, Renshaw may have been cut too. An average of 22 in 18 innings is terribad.

Interesting, that Richardson and Walsh were probably the only two players playing at their peak in that side. Although I recall Greenidge getting a double ton in that series just shy of his 40th birthday.

    Australian test selection 2019-2020

Like a bad case of genital herpes MMarsh will be back, Especially since, after Headingley, the Australian selectors reverted back to "we must pick an allrounder regardless of how sh!t he is" selection criterion.

    Joe Root captaincy thread

If Root was captain of Australia, I believe Australia would have been more successful... ....... apart from ending the career of Pat Cummins,

Your team for The Ashes 21/22

The opening batsman depth chart has never been shallower in the last 35 years. At the moment, Renshaw is placed around 6th or 7th including the current incumbents. Will freaking Bosisto had a better FC season than Renshaw.

Your team for The Ashes 21/22

Unpopular opinion: I feel there's a greater chance of Renshaw going "full Hameed" than reclaiming his place in the Test team.

5th Test at The Oval, London

Australia would not have lost this if Burgey wasn’t banned.

5th Test at The Oval, London

Pardon? The topic was Bancroft. Why would you think I was talking about Tontine?
  9. Second Spitter

5th Test at The Oval, London

Considering he has been on a downward spiral since his very first match -- a pressureless innings chasing a meager total -- I should hope the Aussie selectors lose his phone number asap

5th Test at The Oval, London

Phil Tufnell on Australian TV...... HEALY: "How many runs do you think you would have scored in a full series against the [90's] West Indies?" TUFNELL: "More than Warner did in this series"

Surely you can find a spot for Seb Gotch?

    Man of the series poll

"England fan can't spell English players name shocker!"

5th Test at The Oval, London

Its funny the selectors were so keen to rotate bowlers but not for out-of-form batsmen.......

I bet there's a good disco circuit in London on Sunday nights.

  18. Second Spitter

5th Test at The Oval, London

Amazing how a batsman who is averaging single figures can be so boisterous and chirpy.
  19. Second Spitter

5th Test at The Oval, London

Cummins and Haze look cooked yesterday, which makes the decision to bat first even more incredulous.

5th Test at The Oval, London

Few people will argue that a drawn series isn't the fairest result.
