*Official* Second Test (Lord's, London) 28 June–2 July

Yes of course, that’ll be it.

*Official* Second Test (Lord's, London) 28 June–2 July

What a stupid, pointless, incorrect, irrelevant and ‘look at me being controversial’ comment that is. Berk.

Just don’t think it’s a good look, he’s not been ‘dismissed’, in no way has he been done. Look, maybe there’s some bitterness on my part and shoe on the foot maybe I’d be in your camp. Bairstow of course is not exempt from blame here and it was a completely avoidable wicket, but it doesn’t look...

Bairstow was sloppy there obviously, but that was pi** poor from the Aussies that.

Yes he was getting in some very strange positions, I can only assume it’s his knee that’s giving him problems after bowling.

Whether you deem the Starc a catch or not, why on earth is he steadying himself with his catching hand face down into the turf? It was an excellent catch that he took but just just finish it off even if it means you get a mouthful of turf!

*Official* Second Test (Lord's, London) 28 June–2 July

Funny that with England being 71-4 chasing 371!

They still need to score runs and this kind of attack isn’t stopping soon! Not a great spectacle mind.

Providing he doesn’t just snick off now, camped on the back foot and has made 1 from 23.

England are dragging themselves back into this Test, slightly, but I’m still not confident we’ll cope any better with the short ball second time around.

*Official* Second Test (Lord's, London) 28 June–2 July

Yesterday all the talk was woeful execution from England against the short ball (all fair criticism), now there’s talk of how boring this is to watch, how many bouncers are you allowed, Taylor on comms talking about what constitutes intimidatory bowling!! Come on guys, our bowlers blow it down...

Yes I get that, but they’re playing it equally as badly so it’s a decent ploy.

Seems like maybe it’s not as easy to resist this kind of attack! We rightly criticised our batters yesterday for how we played it, now the same obvious tactic has removed the batsman of the series so far when set and one of the best in the world when also set! What’s going on?!

*Official* Second Test (Lord's, London) 28 June–2 July

You’re right and I agree, but it seems so obvious that’s the case that I’d like to hear the reasoning behind why it’s not been done yet or whether they’ll look to do that in the second innings and beyond. I also don’t think we can forget the fact we’re playing a superior team and perhaps any...

*Official* Second Test (Lord's, London) 28 June–2 July

I think when you introduce a whole new approach and way of playing to a side that were really struggling and have immediate success, you don’t throw it all in after a setback, otherwise did you really believe in it in the first place. It’s been plain to see it has its issues and we don’t get it...

*Official* Second Test (Lord's, London) 28 June–2 July

Obviously a hugely disappointing effort from England with the bat handing the Aussies a commanding position. Interesting to see when the Aussies declare, probably more likely than us running through them today. As everyone knows, England, if they remain true to the word and there’s nothing at...

They just look terribly soft dismissals when this aggression doesn’t work! This is why I’m so conflicted on this style!

I was listening to the radio (and Michael Vaughan in particular) when Crawley was dismissed yesterday. He said how he’d given it away like he always does and that he skipped down the pitch so early it was easy for Lyon to spot and throw it a bit straighter. I agree Crawley seems to always throw...
