    IPL Draft 2016

My favourite thing about the Draft is the the people who go up for auction and no-one bids for them - reminds me of the Simpsons episode with the Bachelor auction when Moe walks on and immediately walks off.

    IPL Draft 2016

Cool that Sam Billings got bought up - will be a great experience for him even if he never plays a game. Which is likely.

    Official Rugby Thread

A rather disappointingly familiar England starting XV from Eddie Jones. Mike Brown, Anthony Watson, Jonathan Joseph, Owen Farrell, Jack Nowell, George Ford, Danny Care; Joe Marler, Dylan Hartley (captain), Dan Cole, Joe Launchbury, George Kruis, Chris Robshaw, James Haskell and Billy Vunipola...

Uh Oh, Jordan's on. Here's trouble.

Reckon this game will be closer than people think.

England won't make more than 350, 360 - I think there'll be a reversal of the 1st NZ ODI last summer - blistering middle period, then a wobble of wickets and England will tail off. Would love to see a big, big score, but I need convincing. EDIT: ****

Just get that nervy feeling that we'll do alright against the fast bowlers, but then we'll stumble over each other trying to get out to Imran Tahir.

    Kieran Powell Major League Baseball

I recall reading somewhere that the scout thought he was rubbish :/

International Cricket Captain General Thread of Miscellany

Is it bad form to dig up this thread? I've played ICC2012 for a decent period of time and my Australia & Durham save and have a load of great stories/scenarios. I might also start a new game on ICC2014 with Bangladesh and see what I can do.

    D(r)aft idea?

First one sounds better - having an average of just 9 tests per player would make things tricky indeed. Would probably have to be limited to only a handful of drafters though.

    Mystery Box Draft II

Yeah that's what I was going for.

    Mystery Box Draft II

Hmmmm, bit of a problem. I've got three openers for two opening slots, but I can't just shunt one down to 3 because I've got Punter there. I'm thinking of going: 1. Jack Hobbs 2. Geoff Boycott 3. Ricky Ponting 4. Sachin Tendulkar (5) 5. Colonel His Highness Shri Sir Ranjithsinji Vibhaji...

Just have Cook wear a big fake moustache and call himself Alastair Cork or something and bat at both ends. Solves the problem.

    Sweeps on England's total? 120?

What would have been an acceptable series for Hales? A hundred? Two hundreds? Averaging 30? 40? Still reckon we should keep him for Sri Lanka, unless someone seriously lays down a marker in the County game.

******* hell England, the least we could have done was keep them in the field.

***Official*** England in South Africa 2015/16

I dunno, I'd keep Hales, just for the Sri Lanka series if anything. I reckon any English opening batsman should at least be given the chance to show what they've got on English wickets in English conditions, where Hales has proved he has decent talent. If he fails against Sri Lanka, by all...
