Sachin's stats against ATG Fast Bowlers

Pontings record against India in Indian soil is amazingly great.

Catch drops/ Missed stumpings that might have resulted in Series loss

Go through Parthiv's keeping for India against Australia at home soil in 2004, will subdue most with his consistent hiccups and definitely win not only the man of the match but the man of the series of this excercise, the fact that India kept persisting with him whole throughout the series is...

Best overall batting performance at a WC in the '90s? (Crowe, M Waugh, Sachin, Aravinda, Klusener)

A huge flaw in that system is - that you are giving repeated weightage to 50 + scores that's leaving a batting@number 8 match winner (Klusener) to lose a lot of leverage- you are counting 100s in one catagory, 50s in other and 50 + scores in yet another --- which I think makes it too redundant...

Best overall batting performance at a WC in the '90s? (Crowe, M Waugh, Sachin, Aravinda, Klusener)

I mistakenly voted for Sachin as I thought, just by going through the title, that it was about overall best batting performance and it's no doubt in my mind was Sachin since he made it in more than one world cup which not many can boast of, otherwise the little cameos that Klusener produced has...

Following up on a request, top 10 greatest batsmen of all time in tests (not including the Don)

I wonder, why most (including me) are so averse to include Kallis in the highest order despite of statistics that he has in his favour, is it a flaw that he didn't look that natural flair or just our strong liking for other more entertaining batsmen.

    Asif vs Bond vs Harris

He rocked them in Odi's in ways that noone in those times could think about doing even in their wildest dreams - he was just too sensational due to those performances.

KP vs AB: Who was the better test bat?

KP - he made impossible possible by bringing down almost invincibles like a peak-Aussie side and India at their home soil now that's not even many greats can boast of doing.

    Asif vs Bond vs Harris

Bond because he had better stats, was way better against the best batsmen of his time Or best batting line ups, it's not even a competition - Bond was as good as any fast bowler that had played the game in whole history of it - it's just the longevity factor that could take it away from him.

The ATG Teams General arguing/discussing thread

A bowling average of 25 would bring Sobers very near to Don Bradman as a cricketer with every body else comfortably far behind.

    Nathan Astle v Brendon McCullum

I find it no contest while picking Nathan Astle who was as good of an opening batsman as they were in his time in Odis he was among the premiers of the game.

    Test Champions

It's an irony that now we have a national team which is champion of the world just because they do very well in a particular weather and pitch condition, to think of it -they haven't won a test in Australia, India, Pakistan , South Africa or Srilanka in last 32 years.

Most Underrated Cricketers in Cricket Chat

Md Yousuf is a good shout since he has a superior overall record to Younis khan ( whose Odi record is quite dismal with an average barely above 30 when you talk about a batsman being among worlds bests) Yousuf is not generally given deserved credit for his overall better record.
