    ***Official***Match #31 - Pakistan vs Bangladesh - October 31st - Kolkata (D/N)

Just how good is Mahmudullah? Always bails out Bangla from tough spots and knows exactly how to operate with tailenders at the other end. His century against SA was top-class.

    Best player of each type

I'd go with Kuldeep too. Even in that one game in which NZ threw the kitchen sink at him, he kept looking for wickets and turned it around. Not only is he difficult to pick, he is bowling some unplayable stuff and going through the defense of the batsmen.

Is Jacques Kallis the Most BoRing Cricketer in the History of Cricket?

I only have memories of the last few years of his career. His bowling is something I'd always enjoy but batting always seemed a bit off to me. Also, you can barely find highlights of his knocks on YT(maybe no one cares about his batting :D), there might be some full match highlights where his...

Is Jacques Kallis the Most BoRing Cricketer in the History of Cricket?

I was talking more from the POV of aesthetics. He isn't that great to watch IMO, this is subjective though. But I agree, was wrong when it comes to talking about Vettori not playing a lot of "impactful innings", he does have a few solid knocks in tests, especially at home.

Cricket stuff that doesn't deserve its own thread

I just want to see some knocks by Kapil against the WI bowlers. I have never seen any of them on Youtube or anywhere else. Particularly interested in this 95 ball 100 against a full-throttle WI bowling line-up...

Is Jacques Kallis the Most BoRing Cricketer in the History of Cricket?

Great pick. Vettori's batting was very difficult to watch. He could bat, but you know he couldn't play an impactful innings(more often than not) or bat in a way that was even remotely entertaining. His bowling was always fun to watch if you could understand his subtle variations, but got too...

Played 3 games in India and picked 4 wickets. Good one!

    Keith Miller vs Andy Roberts

Here's what Benaud says about him. May be the keeping/fielding standards back then were much superior.

    Harold Larwood vs Shoaib Akhtar

    Absolutely, that's my personal opinion.

    Harold Larwood vs Shoaib Akhtar

Of course. What's wrong with that?

Is Jacques Kallis the Most BoRing Cricketer in the History of Cricket?

He was an economical white ball bowler who did well in ODIs and T20s, far from boring and pretty similar to Vettori in a lot of ways. Not sure how/why he was pushed to the test side.

    Harold Larwood vs Shoaib Akhtar

Kabir Ali from England had a slightly similar action:

Why does the pace reduce with each study? Did the studies get more and more accurate over time?

    Keith Miller vs Andy Roberts

Great post. So we can agree that Miller would be bowling 95 mph and close to 100mph on occasions right?

    Keith Miller vs Andy Roberts

Wasn't Robert around 80-85 mph mark?
