    Australian off season domestic 2012/13

Waste for money for just one game. Much rather they spent the money on Rohrer and Nevill for the whole season. This whole logic of signing players just to play one game, is as stupid as gimmick to get Andrew Johns to play one game for Blues a couple years back. Reckon signing Warner going to...

***Official*** Sri Lanka Premier League 2012

Surprised this got pinged, I guess that was just a ploy to get people to sign up to Fantasy comp. Kandurata Warriors were the clear favourites for mine before Sanga got injured. Still think they are slight favourites because their FC specialist; Paranavitana, Samaraweera, Silva and Warnapura...

Time for a SOS to Hughes and Khawaja?

    Australian off season domestic 2012/13

Is it just me, or does it seem averaging 15+ is good enough to be specialist batsmen in the Big Bash, if you strike at over 130?

Murali, was vice captain for Sri Lanka for three years and captained SL domestic sides for most of his career. Finch is also a good option.

    Australian off season domestic 2012/13

Have Perth finished their player signings with 18 players. Surprised they didn't sign Tom Beaton or Liam Davis. Renegades or Thunder should be looking at signing both players.

Chris Tremain, in the search for the next superstar fast bowler after, Cummins, Pattinson and Starc all breakdown during the season.

    Australian off season domestic 2012/13

Seems to be the Sixers way to sign everyone up late, we did the same thing last season.

Who will be Australia's next number three batsman?

Yes. On a serious note what about Joe Burns. Surprised he is not mentioned in discussions. Got a pretty solid FC record.

    Australian off season domestic 2012/13

Stand corrected regarding Daniel Hughes, clearly google lead me down the wrong patch. Merchant for mine is a better then Cruickshank, especially as an opener. Reckon both would be capable at FC level, but below say the Mathew Phelps standard. Still think Sam Robson should get a run. As there...

Yeah, got another gig playing 2nd XI last season. Not sure what his plans are now he missed out on a contract though.

    Australian off season domestic 2012/13

A bit disappointed the NSW selectors went with Daniel Hughes, a 33 year old, who have a fairly average grade season. Reckon they should have given a contract to Cameron Merchant (28), Sam Robson (23) or Ahilen Beadle (25). All had good grade seasons last year. The first two also have solid first...

The only difference between Creagh and Scott, is one doesn't walk away from flights. Both are useless at Orgin level and pretty average at NRL when they don't have coach who gives them a very simple game plan, tackle everything in sight.

Pretty sure Thornley was offered a contract by South Australia and Queensland. But declined as he rather stay in NSW. Cool we get Lee for free.

    Australian off season domestic 2012/13

But what if takes less then another three tests to work out Cowan is not international standard (World One International Standard), they have just saved 200k. Or Lee breaks down for another six months after one game. Don't think it is the worst thing in the world if the talent around domestic...

    Australian off season domestic 2012/13

If there is still an 18-man squad we should be sweet. Just need to get rid of the rookies and Crockley. The retirements are a blessing in disguise. CA Contracts: Clarke, Haddin, Watson, Warner, Starc, Cummins NSW Contracts: Bollinger, Copeland, Haurtiz, Halzewood, Henriques, Hughes, Khawaja...

    Australian off season domestic 2012/13

I read somewhere the reason for the extra fast bowlers and spinners on the contract list was so they could control the number of overseas contracts the players sign, i.e domestic Twenty20 comps. I guess they are more concerned about their workload. If they weren't on contract then they could...

    *Official* NRL 2012 Season thread

Reckon NSW could play a lot better. The kicking game and last tackle options was quite average. The defence under the high ball was also pretty poor. If it wasn't for the extra player, I doubt we would have scored those two tries. The defence from both teams was awesome, but both teams...

    *Official* NRL 2012 Season thread

I hope they persist with Utate and work on his weakness, he is awesome in attack. But if we go back to old habits that dropping a player because their not perfect, then Brett Morris would be good replacement. Carney goal kicking is fine, his far better kicker then Turner.
