Howcome Dravid had never been accused of being Selfish?

I meant fours not sixes, and i maintain he didn't look that bad that is what i saw. As for the 6 test series nonsense, if that were the case Smith would have been content with 1-0 rather than make a risky declaration

Howcome Dravid had never been accused of being Selfish?

IIRC he managed to hit a few sixes in-out over extra cover in that 2nd innings of the Sydney test. Injured batsmen can't play that shot. He didn't appear to be all that hampered either, apart from the odd grimace. A Waugh would have played thru the pain and done what the situation demanded. Its...

Most disliked cricketer of all time

So point the finger at him, rather than at the perpetrator. Touched a soft spot methinks.

So are Australians really Chokers ??

Ponting is not a big talker before a series. I'd say Smith and Warne would be a closer comparison, only Warne has earned his right and Smith hasn't.

Is This Where One Day Cricket Is Heading?

I hope its a one-off, i prefer a more even contest between bat and ball. That said batsmen are supposed to dominate in this form of the game and it was very enjoyable to watch, but it'd grow tedious quickly IMO. There must be a little innit for the bowlers otherwise its not a proper contest

    ***Official Australia in South Africa***

I'm not sure Lewis was selected for his death bowling, Lee fulfills that role and has done throughout the series. The 4th ODI was the only other game where Lewis bowled at the death and although he bowled well, his poor performance during this game should have ruled him out. Yes Symonds'...

    ***Official Australia in South Africa***

I'm sure it's been mentioned before, but why did Ponting keep bowling Lewis instead of Lee? Was it to send a message to selectors? Why would he be willing to sacrifice the series to prove a point..thats bloody treasonous. And it if WAS for legitimate cricketing reasons, its just flatout...

Result is still possible on this pitch, which could be a mindfield on d5. If Eng pacers get the ball to reverse + Monty bowls well suviving 2 sessions will be a chore.
