Showing the value of bowling partnerships I guess. Southee with boult at the other end is so potent. He's looking like he can't run at good pace at the moment. His chasing off ball is like over 50s fielder chasing the ball. The man must be tired mentally and physically.

Southee is treating Wagner like he treated Ajaz

Nah he'll be gone.. there are cracks already and it is only getting bigger. 6 years coaching anytime is way too long. Over the years you'll start treating as a job and freshness will be gone. No fresh ideas, it's the same old same old. Got to look at the bowling and batting coaches too. Jurgo...

Should have given enough opportunities and built up the bench strength. Went for short term gains and guys left mid way through for better deals. Not their problem but should have know with most heading towards mid 30s. They can't be excited about playing for New Zealand anymore, they should...

In a way there is plenty of positive from this game for us whichever way the results will go. If we win obviously great, we'll feel proud. If we don't then I can guarantee you now 100% heads will roll after this series. Highly likely Steady will be gone an so will Larsen before the world cup in...

I know it's done and dusted the selection for this test match but I don't understand why the management is so adamant with some like Nicholls, Bracewell etc.. One bad game or series from Young, Patel, Sodhi, Phillips or Ravindra they are out but then this persistence with few players is...

Wagner done then you reckon? Good thing he signed up for county cricket prior to the series. Probably play for county for the next couple of seasons. Inside running is he wants to play couple more years for BCs. Great character and resilience but body does take a beating over the years bowling...

Quite disappointing session for us. We were right into it but then the bowling went a bit awry. Credit to Brooks for taking the attack to our bowlers. It was not all slogging, it was very measured. Root does what he always does, he was one guy we needed to get. He can adopt and has far less ego...

Pitches like this finishes off careers. Is Crawley finished after this? The ball is seaming like a mile. Imagine being the local domestic side playing on this sort of decks or even worse all year round. I know firebirds the local domestic side get a lot of stick for their batting but some of...

I expect 100% for Nicholls to come good.. If you are playing for a year you're bound to score a fifty here and there. Every domestic player is capable of that.

Technically we're saying we are **** at batting so we will have lot of batting cover but we have very good bowling attack in Southee, Henry, Kuggs and Bracewell... In my opinion if 6 batsmen can't do the job then 7th won't do much either.

They're fixated to keep Nicholls till he retires I guess. Highly likely they'll make him the captain too. I can't put that past Larsen and Stead.

First job done, win toss and bowl first but can't believe we are going with 3 full time seamers just to give Nicholls another test match. Our guys will never learn. Happy for Young. Hope England doesn't declare without facing a ball to use the strip to bowl haha

Every time... win toss bowl first, bowl opponent cheaply. The pitch gets really good to bat on day 3 and onwards. Always spongy bounce, doesn't come on to the bat. Like I said average medium pacers look like Malcolm Marshall on day 1 and 2

I think we have better experience and like I said Basin is our fort. It's bouncy, will seam all over the place and even a not so good seam bowler will be like McGrath on this deck for the first couple of days. If we can bowl first England may score 200 in one session and get bowled out
