I don't think you will find anyone on here writing he is twice as good:unsure: We have had people on here (the site) saying SRT is the better batsman8-)

    The Post Mortem Test

Interesting, I wonder which is the oldest Test which still sees every member alive and kicking. i don't think we could go back much further than the late 60s:unsure:

A smart man:cool::D Nah, thanks for that:happy: Did anyone actually write he is twice as good as Sachin? Bradman told Doug Walters in the 80s (or perhaps the 70s), he thought he would average less in the modern era but still a fair bit more than anyone else. Modesty or Boasting? Not sure, but...

Cross handed All Time Test XI

His profile states he bowled legspin but does not mention which arm so I imagine it must be right:(

Cross handed All Time Test XI

Haha true, but still it would be nice to have a true ambitexterous keeper. I know Storer took at least one Test wicket but not sure which hand he bowled with?

Yes, there are many arguments for all eras but in the end 99.94 keeps coming up!

Cross handed All Time Test XI

True, I thought I had Marsh in front of Gilly for a sec:D Not a bad team that. Clem Hill and Jack Harry (much better bowler than Clem) bowled both hands and also kept wickets, I bet there are not too many for that team:-O

Cross handed All Time Test XI

Haha, no it's a good idea:D A few from memory - Ambrose, Tiger and Gov General. Also I think Rod Marsh batted left and bowled right so there is a WK

He did have to work fulltime and also missed 8 years of his peak time due to the war, though I agree you have a vaild point, still a long way off explaining his huge advantage over his contemporaries

 It amuses me to read these silly arugments trying to convince anyone that Bradman is not just the best but the best by a mile. It's more of pity that most are SRT supporters, I think you have enough trouble trying to convince anyone who knows their cricket that he is even No2 :D

Left Handed ATXI for All Teams

Let's not forget Johnston averaged over a 100 on a tour of England:ph34r:

Yes, didn't Cardus make up a story about a race of people, that Fry then spoke for hours about their origins etc?

Your own "Damn I missed it" moments.

Good thread:cool: After watching the first four days of the MCG Test 1982/83, Dad despite my begging decided we should leave before play commenced on the last day so we could be home in time for dinner (7 hour trip). His reasoning was sound, Australia had their last pair in and still needed...

Someone alive, would be Chappelli, has lots of opinions and I would love to hear about Bradman and Vic. Someone dead, Clem Hill

Has a poster on CW ever made you change your mind?

Come on here thinking I knew more than anyone else about the history of the game but there are plenty who know more than I do, was very humbling. Was 100% convinced that Murali was a chucker but not so sure now, thanks to all of the arguments, especially from the younger posters on here.
