*Official* Big Bash League 10 2020-21

Jhye Richardson is such a gun bowler, the fact he is a West Australian means he has got the Langer quota stipulation covered as well.

    Australian test selection 2020/21

If by completely reworking his leg break, you mean his leg break needs to spin big then that beats the purpose of developing a bowler like him for sub-continent. Unless you are a freak like Rashid Khan your ripping leg break would just get stuck in those slow surfaces giving batsmen ample time...

    Australian test selection 2020/21

If I am not wrong Cameron White was the first choice spinner on that tour. Any who Krezja in general was a piss poor bowler all along, but he used to undercut his offies which helped in taking all those wickets on a dusty surface. The great Shane Warne took all of 14-15 wkts even on a successful...

    Border-Gavaskar Trophy all time XI

It's not an actual team though, it's a bunch of individuals who have played a decisive role for their respective teams over the years in BGT. Not a single bowler from the current Australian attack, can realistically claim to having done that.

Short has been told, if he improves his bowling he becomes Australia's finisher in one day games. Ain't that just great!! 8-)

Dunno how he bowls with the red ball, but can't see India playing both Sundar and Ashwin in the same XI. Pandya has also been picked in the squad, any chance he might play as an all-rounder?

    Border-Gavaskar Trophy all time XI

Tendulkar helped win/draw BGTs both at home and away against an all-time Australian side, pretty much on his own despite being a part of pretty ordinary team.

    Border-Gavaskar Trophy all time XI

Again I am not debating what Cummins has been able to achieve individually, last couple of BGTs he has been Australia's go to bowler. However it is also a fact, that in the 10 test matches Cummins has played against India he has just one 5-wicket haul, compared to that a guy like Hazelwood has...

    Australia's Mental State

This is a top observation, unfortunately the issues persist right from the top. Cricket Australia is a poorly managed entity for sometime now and the people running the show hate nothing more, than seeing guys with authority down the hierarchy questioning their management skills or demanding...

    Border-Gavaskar Trophy all time XI

I think if personal performances don't contribute anything positive to the team, there worth is largely diminished. For example despite the wickets Cummins took in the last series, he didn't bowl a single decisive spell like, let's say Hazelwood bowled at Adelaide or Bumrah bowled at the G.

Who is the best left handed batsman in the world?

Warner is the OG when it comes to left hand bats this generation. When it comes to all time Brain Charles Lara in tests and Michael Bevan in ODis.

    Border-Gavaskar Trophy all time XI

If I am not wrong, Cummins has been part of three BGTs thus far, Australia has lost all three both home and away. Personal numbers mean very little if it has no positive impact on the results. Hazelwood is ahead of him in that regard for me.

Isn't Axar Patel more like a like for like replacement for Jadeja?

Yeah, he kinda missed the flight straightening out some homophobes with his fists.

    Australian test selection 2020/21

Jason Krezja too took 12 wickets in just one game in India. The point isn't how good you presumably are as a spinner in terms of numbers, because let's be honest unless you are great at using pace and bounce as a spinner, Australia is arguably the worst place to bowl spin in the cricket world...

    Australian test selection 2020/21

But that's the thing, you can't bowl your normal coached version of spin on Asian decks and hope to get results. Champion spinners like Warne and Lyon have struggled there whereas a guy like Steve O'Keefe took 12 wickets on a dust bowl in Pune to win a test. Clarke took 6 for literally nothing...

    4th Test at the Gabba, Brisbane, 15 - 19 Jan 2021

Players in Australian top tier have lived dangerously in the last decade or so, because there is no assurity regarding their places no matter how good they are, so the players are bitter due to that. Whereas in meantime Cricket Australia has also literally shot themselves in the foot by making...

    Australian test selection 2020/21

If the pitch is a flat road then sure, if it's a dust bowl in the sub-continent then that might change.
