India, England & to a lesser extent NZ are quitely cheering Pakistan here. This would really upset the apple cart.

They shouldn't have beaten the Bangers really.

So far Matthews & Taylor have scored 2 runs off 14 balls combined. Dottin has scored 24(30) so far.

If they keep them to under 120, they have a slight chance I think, certainly 100-110. Anything more, than I would think a WI win. Personally I think the WI are a bit flaky, not sure they are in the best 4 teams here.

It's 20 overs a side, probably helpful to Pakistan in a shorter match, they win the toss and put WI in.

Another inspection at 6.15 (NZ), cut-off time is 7.08.pm. A couple of wet patches on the outfield. They are barely going to get a match.

The cut off time to start play is 7.08 pm. Not sure how many overs per side we would get if that happened.?

If, and we know about If's, NZ had batted their final 7 balls, got another 5-8 runs who knows, but not batting the 50 overs out is criminal. We saw WI against the Bangers, only 9-140 off 50 overs, but had they been dismissed four or five balls short, they likely wouldn't have won.

There is no certainty that England WILL beat Bangladesh, they should, but I see at least one more upset before the finals.

    They actually divorced in 2020.

A Bangladesh win would have thrown the cat amongst the pigeons for three or four teams ( I'm sure NZ & England were cheering for them) Has been great stuff this WC, some brilliant cricket, some poor, but overall, most entertaining.

Not sure whether Suzie Bates is just out of form , or she's way past her best, Satterthwaite isn't getting any younger, Maddie Green get's out at very inopportune times. Katey Martin can take a blinder, but drop a sitter, just saw that she is 37, who's the next best wicketkeeper. Hannah Rowe...

    Books on 1972 Ashes?

The Arlott & Chappell books are the only two published of the series. (Have the Arlott book, haven't read it for ages, don't have the Chappell one) Tour books went out of vogue in the mid 60s, there were 4 on the 1964 Tour, but back in the 50s was the hey day, there were at least 9 actual books...

It's fair to say at least ONE of NZ & England won't make the finals, and potentially both may miss if other results go the wrong way for them.

Good to see a challenging declaration by Pat this morning. May regret those wasted 6 overs.

There will be massive changes in the England team in the summer. Many look unfit, the fielding & catching is dreadful, looks like players are coasting and have been found out. Not sure if Jones is a great keeper or not, misses the easy one , then takes a blinder.
