Nathan Smith's 6/36 today was his career best FC bowling figures.

Maybe it's the other way. Maybe Parkes is smart enough to know where his best opportunity lies.

Tickner only bowled 6 overs. That can't be good.

Trying again for a single laugh for my Men v Stags joke. Bastards.

    NZ domestic season 2023/24

The Men v The Stags is a classic rivalry. Dating back to the Bambi books. The narrative bias of those classics has be supporting the Stags.

I wish we could put a blond wig on him every second over in real life and let him bowl from both ends. And put the specialist captain at 3rd slip, until after the new ball is in a non-wastable condition

Which is crazy for a sport that clashes with the 9-5 working day for 3/5ths of it's duration.

Big batting day yesterday as we have hit the 'Autumn rounds'. Duffy and Smith going wicketless is a bit of a reality check, I suppose. Although I did actually watch Duffy's first few overs with the new ball and he was looking great, beating the outside edge with ball passing over off stump twice...

Hell yes. Felt in in the Wairarapa. Was the severest jolt I've ever felt tbh (but I'm in a different building type than when experiencing the Kairkoura and Seddon quakes). But it lasted like almost literally only 1or 2 seconds.

Looks like 3 players making their first class debuts for Auckland today. Jock Mckenzie, Johal and Olliver. https://scoring.nzc.nz/?tab=m_scorecard#m3d078344-f375-4eb1-8351-b3c82f72bf01

Bettelheim also closing in on a double ton in the A game. Not a lot of recognisable names though in that ND A bowling attack. Did Matt Rowe come in as a nightwatchman? Imagine being a budding provincial 'A' batter, in one of our very rare opportunities to bat in 3 day cricket, and you put in a...

    NZ domestic season 2023/24

My thoughts are that it was an absolute disgrace , Ave and Otago. It wasn't covid related. I don't know, but just my assumption , is that the relatively recently arrived coach had zero knowledge of the local players so called up someone from his old neck of the woods. I think the Plunket...
