NZ domestic season 2023/24

Fisher's action slightly less front-on today, leaning away to nip the ball in to the right hander. Even a little inswing which I haven't seen from him before, for the lbw.
I'm convinced that Fisher should be in the Test team within the next 12 months, if he doesn't get injured.

Henry O'Rourke Fisher gives us some firepower to get excited about. Could be Henry Smith O'Rourke Fisher on the right decks, or maybe Foulkes somewhere in there.

Solia getting out for 60 is a real bummer for him, needed to push on to a big ton and put pressure on Latham/Young/Conway.

Big batting day yesterday as we have hit the 'Autumn rounds'. Duffy and Smith going wicketless is a bit of a reality check, I suppose. Although I did actually watch Duffy's first few overs with the new ball and he was looking great, beating the outside edge with ball passing over off stump twice in his first over (to O'Donnell). Not watched the old-ball overs. Smith was spraying the new ball waaaay wide.

I'm not giving up on KJ or even Ferguson just yet but I agree, and hopefully we push to build a stable rather than another trio. 3 quicks sharing almost 250 tests between them is rare. Most teams most years need 4 to 5 dudes to play at least 1 game.

The Men v The Stags is a classic rivalry. Dating back to the Bambi books. The narrative bias of those classics has be supporting the Stags.

Jeez, has been a tough season for Foxcroft after a pretty good return season last year, making the A side and getting cleared for the Black Caps after the Covid border fiasco. Hope the added responsibility of captaincy isn't affecting his form.

Holy ****. Looks like the bowler picked up turned and threw as he raced through for a single. Hope he's OK, had some concussion issues a few seasons ago. Remember Greg Loveridge got hit diving to make his ground in a CD game.
