    Probably does't compare to some on this list but I always thought Marcus Trescothick could be pretty good to watch when he was going well. My half-baked theory is that having no/minimal footwork makes batting look more attractive

    This is really well poised imo. Sri Lanka are looking good and building a lead, but with their tail things could end very quickly once the next wicket goes. Have really enjoyed this match so far

    This is genuinely the first time I can recall Thirimanne making two good contributions in the same match. Honestly, if he keeps up the improvement he's showing there's no reason he can't retire with his average in the high twenties

    Yeah, you get some very clearly biased commentary on Cricinfo/Cricbuzz sometimes, the tone of it often gives it away. Not that you don't get the same with TV comms sometimes, but at least there you can actually see what's going on yourself.

    This on Cricinfo is one of the weirder complaints I've seen in my time: Preusmably the correct way to describe the length of a delivery would be as "full toss" or "pitches before reaching the batsman"

    Yeah I actually wouldn't mind that system at all in bilateral series. Guess it wouldn't really work in tournaments though

    Think he's the only one to be out hit wicket in consecutive tests (can't be many who got out hit wicket more than once in general). Pretty sure he must be the only person to get out hit wicket to the first ball in their test career.

    On that note, is there any way infractions could be anonymised (or is there a reason why they aren't)? I doubt it would make much difference overall, but if nothing else, reducing the chance of infracted posters forming misinformed grudges against specfic mods would presumably be a good thing
