It's a joke, isn't it. Missed out with the bat, didn't get his coveted opening spot, so now he wants to bowl again. Nothing to do with the new all-rounder having a great first Test at all... Wanting to bowl is one thing, coveting an incumbents spot is another... Really lost me when he did that...

    Just wicket-keeping and batting.

At what point as Aussie fans do we acknowledge that we've done what I thought was unthinkable for us - pick a batsman who can keep, rather than a keeper good enough to hold his own with the gloves. Obviously his glovework has been downright filthy but it doesn't seem to have the same selection...

Watson. What odds he put something in Warner's food so he could open the batting.

Ponting's 156 at Old Trafford in 2005 hard to beat for a captains innings IMO. But reckon there have been heaps over much earlier years that I can't think of right now

    Bloody good batting.

Great innings this, full credit, well played. Can't help but sit back and feel some bitterness to Watson right now. Could have used him today big time. Pea heart. Opening batsman when it suits him, all-rounder when it suits him.

Hasn't been great, but has occassionally looked capable of producing something, which is more than can be said for his counterparts. Said it yesterday - we've missed a Bird/Hilfenhaus type to keep the pressure on at one end. Jeez Andrew McDonald might have been handy for this trip if fit.

Been a heck of an innings this from Dhoni, terrific effort. Outside Pattinson and a touch of luck from Lyon, we've looked unlikely to take a wicket at all haven't we. Siddle proving that 'having a big heart' doesn't mean you are any more than an average Test bowler. Starc very erratic.

It's bizarre isn't it. For a bloke who allegedly was a half decent Test cricketer, he's got absolutely no feel or understanding of the game has he.

He drives me insane. Worse than water torture.

How come Manjrekar has to find all these ridiculous reasons for people to get out? He played a bad shot, doesn't matter how many runs he is on. Load of absolute dribble. Should sit quietly and take his pay cheque.

Manjrekar seems to be wanting to get the point across he feels like the deck is slower today. Has only mentioned it 14 times in the last 15 minutes.

Maybe a chaser for every Siddle 'big heart' quote too.

Enjoyed the long barrier stop from Wade there. Should do it to every ball.

This, known as the 'circle warm up', practiced by middle age lower grade captains with little else to do with their time.

Missing a Jackson Bird/Hilfenhaus type here. We've not really been able to tie up one end and have the others attack from the other. Underrated part of our attack, we've bled runs a little too easy for my liking and not created a lot of pressure.

    Isn't that Midge Johnson?!
