    At least this way it's been made conclusive that he's not up to it and that'll be the end of that. His selection hasn't had much of a detriment to our overall success in the series, so as long as he's not going to South Africa I'm not that fussed by it all.

I know that Carbs has outscored him, but in 10/11 I really admired England for dropping Finn despite being the leading wicket taker, because it was easy to tell he wasn't bowling that well.     Steve Smith took 3/51 off 21 on debut. No way will Borthwick manage that. Might snag a few but I can't see his economy rate being near that.

    Reckon that's the worst attitude. IIRC Kohli said something similar to Warner when they were out here last. Not saying it's exclusive to Indian players mind you, but just think it's a very defeatist mindset especially given India's record overseas.
