*Official* Third Test at the WACA

Yeah, still the kind of thing that can lift a side early on in the match. Jimmy's bowling actual looking pretty good here too. Sticking by my claim that England will put more of a fight here.

*Official* Third Test at the WACA

The England fielding in the last three and a half overs has already been so much better than their work in the first two Tests.

I'm mostly gambhiring here, but I do think that England will put more of a fight this time around. Reckon it could be a close one.

    Your Test Team in 2018

AWTA. Gonna go with something along the lines of: Warner Hughes Maddinson Smith* Lynn Burns Nevill+ Pattinson Starc Sayers Lyon Looking forward to laughing at this XI in five years time.

Irrelevant gargantuan records (400, ten wickets an innings, and more)

Still, as the OP implies, it does leave somewhat of a strange taste in the mouth*. I much prefer, for example, Hadlee catching out the 9th wicket to fall against Australia to deny himself the 10 than something like that. *:naughty:

35th thread: Ashes Last Man Standing 2013/14

Do it before the missus comes home but make sure to lock the door just in case.

    Spineless pathetic bastards...

TBF I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have been on the selectors first choice lineup if Pattinson and Starc weren't injured.

Who will play their last test during the Australian Ashes series?

Rhino will definitely stay on, his body allowing. Haddin has stated his intention to play till the World Cup and then go from there, so I can't see him throwing in the towel just yet. Rogers is an interesting one given that he was selected purely to score runs in England and if you were going...

At least you weren't alone. If I'd had my way he wouldn't have been lining up at the Gabba, and the same can be said for a lot of other Aussie posters here. Fair play to him for proving us wrong, and long may it continue.

    Daemon learns to cricket

Yeah not sure about that either. And could they, say, push back the tea break on the fifth?

    Daemon learns to cricket

Bit confused by this question. In the scenario I'm giving, the team is batting in the fourth innings trying to bat out the game and if they're 8 or 9 down, the bowling team would be well within their rights to claim the half hour. In the obviously highly unlikely situation that they keep...

*Official* Second Test at the Adelaide Oval

Of the 40 English wickets to fall so far, 21 have been caught on the legside. Not encouraging signs for Perth.

    Daemon learns to cricket

Was randomly thinking about this today - if the bowling team gets the batting team 8 or 9 down right at the end of the day's play, they can take an extra half hour to try to bowl them out that day. Let's say that happens at the end of day four, and the batting team survives, and they manage to...

*Official* Second Test at the Adelaide Oval

Yeah, definitely having these thoughts too. Don't want to count any chickens yet, I've been burnt before by this Australian side.

    I have some Burrito questions:

Not only did I eat at a Mexican restaurant tonight, I've talked to some Mexican people before so feeling pretty confident here. Beef Yes Hottest possible One Jumbo Yes Depends on stuffing level Make a mess on rest of the meal and eat it all together at the end 2-3 For benchmark's question...

FWIW I'm pretty sure it's not. Kangaroos definitely move backwards when fighting.
