    Ravichandran Ashwin vs Nathan Lyon

True, on the other hand, Ashwin has had 2-3 attempts to finish off tests in 4th innings in Australia. He was successful once in Adelaide test 2018. On the other occasion, it was Australia chasing 90 something after the 36/9 debacle by India. He couldn't have done much there(finished with 1/16)...

@subshakerz please give a pity vote each to both Ashwins here.

Work out a deal with the forum owners to get your share of the jackpot.

Is Ravichandran Ashwin an ATG test bowler?

I disagree that @subshakerz is not contributing here. He is contributing a lot to the forum traffic and driving up some ad revenue probably.

Is Ravichandran Ashwin an ATG test bowler?

Ashwin was **** against anyone at that time and Smith was the lucky one who came against an imploded Ashwin.

Is Ravichandran Ashwin an ATG test bowler?

I am really envious of your career path that gives you the luxury of spending so much time on this forum and consistently engaging with each and every poster here.

    Michael Atherton vs Rohit Sharma

Rohit easily. Just to get @mr_mister into a debate.

Pakistan early 1990s vs Kohli’s India

If it wasn't for Ponting's esteemed presence in the last test, India would have lost that 2004 series 0-3.

What are legitimate excuses to ignore bad parts of a players' record?

Very simple Drove a bus over your puppy- Don't ignore bad part of the career. Else- Ignore bad part of the career.

    Ricky Ponting vs Rahul Dravid

Dravid easily. More aggressive, better in every country, higher peer rating. Better human too.

Ravichandran Ashwin vs AB de Villiers

Jadeja in fact takes around 3 wickets per test outside India. With the bat he scores a fifty plus score once every 5 innings (9 out of 45 innings overseas). He is more consistent than Kapil (15 in 98) and Imran (13 in 79). 81 wickets @ 32.72 and 1212 runs @ 31.89 in 28 tests is world class...

The ATG Teams General arguing/discussing thread

Guess Hammond was always ahead of him in the run aggregate, so Don never reached that pole position in the first place.
  14. h_hurricane

    Richards, Smith, Lara, Hammond

I voted Hammond because I consider others in the same tier as Tendulkar and Sobers and hence better than Hammond. This is my order by the way. 1. Bradman 2. Sobers 3. Viv 4. Sachin/Lara Will place Smith once he retires.
  15. h_hurricane

Imran vs Jadeja, who is better in the subcontinent?

Shifting my vote to Imran as he is the better runner between the wickets.
  16. h_hurricane

    Richards, Smith, Lara, Hammond

Richards is in the 2nd tier after Bradman. So too are Lara and Smith. That makes Hammond the answer to this thread. I am voting here the batsman who I think is the worst of the options.

    Jasprit Bumrah vs Allan Donald

All these threads comparing Bumrah with established ATGs are very premature. Can't ignore longevity either as it is a qualifying criteria.
  18. h_hurricane

    Pat Cummins vs Alan Davidson

Of course a c*m is needed to get one or two sons. You got that order dead right.

    Waqar vs Bumrah

Waqar clearly for now. I would say Bumrah would need around 250 wickets to merit a comparison. There are enough people who rate Holding on par or above Waqar. That is the ballpark Bumrah would need to reach.
