*Official* Road to the 2025-26 Ashes

Starc and Khawaja would be my guesses, but not ruling out Lyon or Smith, plus the injury prone Hazlewood.

Let's see how many of that lot get there. Got a feeling India might end a couple of careers first.

That's just typical Pope though. Looks like he's a kid on too much haribo for 30 balls, but if he gets in he settles down and looks classy.

Was thinking the same, he could easily bat for a day again here......which will surely put the mockers on him.

Nope, 27 considering he could've been out about 4 times is not bad!!

Blimey, it's Crawley's lucky day. Looked out on first viewing.

Crawley very lucky, but that's so poor from Sajid.

I see Noman has reverted to Nauman whilst bowling.

Sajid reminds me of an old stalwart club cricketer. The slight belly overhang, the saggy trousers, then rips one past the bat.

Having watched that inept fielding performance by the women yesterday, I was half expecting Carse to drop that.

I believe the Ryder Cup in Rome was about that for a week's pass. I don't really get why you'd go to this anyway, only 4 matches on the course for 4 of the 5 sessions means it's a tough watch. I believe the hope was it would price out the rowdy section, coz rich kids are never annoying when...

That was definitely not arse!! Superb delivery, good luck playing that.

His knee is actually holding up ok at the mo, it was the hamstring that caused the latest issue. When fit, he seems to be able to bowl one longish spell a day, which is fine if he's part of a 4 seamer attack. His leadership is obviously pretty key to the team. We do seem to be building up a...

    *OFFICIAL* England in Pakistan 2024

I think their biggest issue is only having one seamer (who is hobbling with the bat). Potts and Carse have found the occasional bit of life in this pitch, whilst there hasn't been a lot for the spinners. It'll probably turn more as the pitch gets older, but you'd fancy England to go after this...

Quite handy for watching in the UK. We'll be able to watch the last couple of sessions at acceptable times of each of the First and Second Tests when we still harbour some hope, then totally ignore the last 3 when we've packed it in.

I presume that is for numbers 8-11? England's are probably slightly better than that given that 104 not out was by Salman Agha in the last Test, who was pushed to 8 by a nightwatchman.

He's still available for selection, fit and bowling well.

    *OFFICIAL* England in Pakistan 2024

A third seamer would've been handy on this pitch, not one who can only bowl 5 overs in a day. Did they replace the right player?

    *Official* 2024 Women's T20 World Cup thread

I always thought England were most vulnerable against the WI because they have some big hitters who if they get away could cause some damage. That was helped by a poor first over from Bell and astonishingly awful fielding. What Aus have though is the metronomic accuracy of Schutt up front who...

To be fair, Noman has a Test highest of 97 so can clearly bat. It's also evidence that there's not a lot wrong with this wicket still.
