The pressure to beat England might not help New Zealand. NZ's batting approach will be interesting. They just came off a close match with Australia so now even more people will be expecting them to beat England. Considering also that England have come off two consecutive low 100 scores.

    NZ U19's v Ind U19's

Just to confirm, NZ won the 2nd test by 73 runs. So there will be a decider to play back at Lincoln in a few days time. NZ quick Tim Southee took 6 wickets in each innings. Michael Tairoa's 2nd innings century also made the difference in the match.

I think our confidence is coming back with the bat and we're doing ok with the ball. Obviously we got smashed for 344 the other day but that was in 40 degree heat. Australia conceded almost that much when it cooled down at night so I think we will just put it down to a very good batting pitch...

Is that because Vaughan has been ruled out just recently?

Is Asif the best young pacer now?

Although Mark Gillespie is 27, I think he's fairly promising too. He'll be dangerous in the WorldCup with Bond and Mills I believe.

Who do you think are the best and worst odi captains currently?

Rixon changed NZ's fortunes if you ask me. He brought an Australian like culture to the team and alot of guys hardened up, particularly Fleming and Cairns. He was also the one who helped gamble on Vettori at the age of 18. I have had relatively good word from Christchurch that both John...

Will they be using the same pitch? if that's the case then whoever wins the toss will definately bat first.

Is Asif the best young pacer now?

that's ridiculous to rate Johnson ahead of Asif when Asif has been damaging in both forms of the game. Johnson hasn't even played test cricket yet.

Im sure after the match they would have been delighted for Oram but even Oram was pretty subdued when he reached 100. They were so close to the win. I think the team were just gutted that they had been able to get so close to the total because it would probably have changed their entire tour...

McMillan was a hero for a day but unfortunately he's shown nothing in the last week to suggest he's improved consistency. He'll be out of the team when they head to Melbourne I think. Vincent Fleming Fulton Taylor Styris Oram McCullum Vettori Mills Bond Gillespie makings of a good ODI side...

    NZ U19's v Ind U19's

Im not sure if anyone knows that this series is going on but it's been a very interesting one. In the first test India won convincingly at Lincoln but so far in the 2nd test NZ require just one more wicket today to beat India. India need another 88 runs to win. The Indian side is carrying the...

so why was he playing then? doesn't give much confidence to Adams or Mason to be honest.

Gillespie looks good. He's got the pace too. Franklin is just a pain in the backside right now, a huge liability when one of your opening bowlers can only bowl 4 overs. Once Mills comes back i'd drop out Franklin.

Johnson has played a handful of ODI's, White the same..Clark doesn't look the same bowler that he is in tests. I'm not so sure to be honest, But anyway, let's just hope that for the sake of the series, New Zealand take this to the wire.

Johnson, Clark, White & Bracken were all part of the side that leaked 330 runs to NZ.
