    *OFFICIAL* England in Pakistan 2024

It's either that or score 150, there isn't much in between and one happens a lot more often than the other!!

Yep, if you get beaten by one which turns hard then fair enough, but not one that does **** all.

This felt utterly predictable from the moment they failed with the tail once again. Can't help thinking this team has got significantly worse by the captain coming back into it. Him and the VC are now the two with the most questions around them.

    *OFFICIAL* England in Pakistan 2024

This is abysmal, they're just playing round straight ones.

Looked dead straight away, not sure on what basis he gave it not out. Can Pope survive till close?

His previous highest in Tests was 22, his FC average is 17. I think he likes playing against England. I guess we're about to find out if this wicket has died a little or if there's still plenty in it for bowlers who know what they're doing.......I suspect the latter.

    *OFFICIAL* England in Pakistan 2024

This is the 3rd 9th wicket partnership in a row that has been 49 runs or more.

It should be Rehan bowling to Sajid, not Bashir, I mean that's just obvious.

Twice in the last month, it's the new Molehill!!

New ball definitely doing a bit more, feels like there's a wicket coming..... Edit: Well that worked, but it had been coming.

    Not to mention leg byes.

Took the sensible option of not hitting any 6's....expect more to follow suit (another failing of Bazball).

Not easy, but Stokes should catch that. It wasn't going fast, seemed he reacted a little late.

    I don't think they're sneaking, I think they're blazing on through....

Need to cut out the easy singles and strike rotation. Bowl some maidens and cause some pressure. I'd have Leach on now.

Loose description of a drop, it his shins. Rubbish review that, not one you'd go for if you didn't have 3 available. They really need someone in close on the leg side to stop the easy singles.

Turned out that was a batsman who knew he'd hit it.

England players and selection discussion thread

Three hundreds this year (and not small ones either) and still averages just over 30 for the calendar year, comfortably the lowest for anyone who has achieved 3 tons.

Judged on that very average first over from Bashir after Lunch, I'd have bowled Atkinson from that end. Rehan has shown in the past he's good at disposing of a tail.

Erm yeah, no idea why he reviewed that.
