He's already been far too successful in FC Cricket to be considered.

    England in New Zealand 28 Nov-18 Dec 2024 - 3 Tests

I was more suggesting that a 2 Test Tour to Bangladesh doesn't exactly carry the same level of profile as 5 Tests in India or 3 in Pakistan/Sri Lanka. I suspect it will go largely unnoticed unless there's anything particular riding on it at the time.

Yeah, I spotted this and wondered why. It's basically the same squad as Pakistan but with Bethell for Smith. Given the last 3 Tests it's very hard to suggest who is the number 1 spinner.

Biggest test series upset of all time

You don't know the details of the bet (I literally could not lose under any circumstances), will take it offline and ping you a mail.

Biggest test series upset of all time

Yeah, I do actually. One of my biggest wins was actually an arbitraged bet on a Wimbledon's Ladies Singles Final in 2005 (Venus v Davenport, and if you know what happened in that Final you'll know how glad I was to not care who won - ironically, I was at Lord's that day for the Eng v Aus Nat...

But we don't go back to Asia until 2027, and that's to Bangladesh. The next WTC Cycle looks quite favourable for England (apart from 5 Tests in Aus of course).

I reckon he will for the next 4 races anyway. He can just drive around safely for 2nd or 3rd places and get the job done. Next year could be carnage though when he's not in a dominant car.

Who after a full career remains the worst tailender you have seen?

I'm not sure how Martin gets beaten, an average of 2.36 after 71 Tests and 104 innings (highest 12) is just legendary. He only hit 15 4's and I'd guess a few of those came off the edges. Panesar by contrast had a high of 26 and more than double Martin's average.

Australia A vs India A games

Big fan of McAndrew, has put in great stints at Sussex (unlike that **** Travis ****ing Head). But is he really in the Test frame?

    **Official** English Football Season 2024/25

Can I also add that for the vast majority of non trophy hunting football fans, no one really cares about this.

It can match the choke in the Women's BBL I just witnessed then. SS were 151-4 after 17 overs needing 172 for victory.......they finished on 160-9!!

Which country were you working in the betting industry? The prices I quoted were in England. Even if English cricket fans were deluded (there's enough evidence to suggest they weren't), the UK Betting Industry were clearly not. Also, using TJB as a reference is not the win you might think it is.

    Formula 1

True, but don't think they can keep on benefitting from the Big 2 squabbling with each other. If Max stops driving like a **** it will damage the hopes of Ferrari.

Biggest test series upset of all time

England were 3-1 to win the Ashes in Jan 2005. After that they won in SA and then drew the One Day series with Aus. In that they showed there was little between the teams and they were bang up for the battle. The only direction that price was heading was down. I'm starting to wonder if it was...

If you were picking a bloke for just one series then even someone like Simpson should've been considered. Had a stellar season with the bat (averaged 75 I think) and an excellent keeper. I'm just not sure how this really helps Cox, how does batting in an alien position having kept wicket show...

Got to be honest, I find it hard to see Verstappen and McLaren not winning the respective titles, although the latter could do with Piastri pulling his finger out a little.

    England in New Zealand 28 Nov-18 Dec 2024 - 3 Tests

Totally agree about intriguing. Assuming that NZ don't suddenly produce slow turners, we can probably ignore the events of the last couple of weeks other than the fact NZ should have plenty of confidence. But I don't suppose England's will be dented. Really tough one to call....
  18. Molehill

England players and selection discussion thread

No, clearly not. Just pointing out that the bloke we are going to get to keep doesn't seem to have any recent previous of doing so.....and is surely unlikely to ever again. It's just such a weird selection that is open to so much criticism if it goes **** up.

Biggest test series upset of all time

Betfair was such an unreliable betting platform at the time, god knows why the BBC used them as a reference. You could get some random muppet offering 5-1 for a maximum bet of £3 and that would be the best price available. It really wasn't the market price. Cricinfo was advertising England as...

I was just not even aware until recently that Cox was ever a keeper. Surely, Duckett must've kept more recently than Cox.
