    I mean, sure. However as you know, opening in India is completely different to opening elsewhere. Keep him at 5, keep our 3-4-5 stable at least. He'll be the one to move up to #4 when smudge goes anyway (probably)

    Of course, but I don't count that in terms of being a serious FC batter. That was a hell of a knock, but he has the same major issue in short form cricket imo - his inability to dig in when it's tough, and to turn starts into big scores. He ticked both today, which is nice to see.
