    England in New Zealand 28 Nov-18 Dec 2024 - 3 Tests

Truly the end of an era and, as much as he's all frustrated us at times, one of NZ's greats. All hail Timmeh.

*Official* New Zealand vs Sri Lanka- White Ball Tour of SL- November, 2024

Rubbish scorecard for us apart from Duffy and our opening pair. Will look forward to the highlights.

    2024–25 NZ domestic season

Fun round. I do like both Keene and Kristian Clarke as young seam bowling allrounders to bracket with N Smith and Foulkes as possible NZ options. Keene's bowling action had lost all its drive last season, looks a better Danny Morrison impersonation now. I see he's South African born - tall...

    2024–25 NZ domestic season

It's not a bad theory - one to watch. I certainly like NZ to always have at least one fast bowler who moves the ball away from the left hand batter.

    2024–25 NZ domestic season

Dudding has been quite impressive this match. For some reason we seem to have a heap of inswing bowlers in NZ cricket now. Also congrats to Van Beek, impressive match.

Not watching but the Cricinfo commentary has been full of praise for Hay's wicketkeeping.

*Unofficial* New Zealand Black Caps Thread

On the next wicketkeeper, I think everyone including myself has the tendency to focus disproportionately on the wicketkeeper's batting at times. Probably because it's easily seen and quantified, while good wicketkeeping is mostly anonymous. Blundell has done a decent job overall but, between his...

There may be more reason for it batting at 7 in List A, but that's very much Chu's FC record so far too. Lots of starts but few big scores, steadfastly averages 30 every season.

    NZ Domestic Selector 24/25

I'm finding a lot of the players I want to take are taken just before me, too, which didn't happen much in previous seasons. I think there's a bigger proportion of newer unknowns on the contract lists this season.

I like McKay's strong bowling action, hasn't managed to turn it into great results yet though.
