To be fair to Verreynne he has had to deal with some pretty dire situations coming in to bat , and his keeping has been really good , many of us were surprised when Conrad dropped him for the West Indies tour of South Africa , he's actually played some pretty amazing knocks in his short career.

So Kyle Verreynne's 100 is the first by a SA keeper in Bangladesh, SA keepers have tons in 9 different countries now. First SA keeper to score a Test Hundred in each country : England - Percy Sherwell (1907) South Africa - Billy Wade (1949) Zimbabwe - Mark Boucher - (1999) Australia - AB De...

Take a bow Kyle Verreynne! 2nd Test hundred , coming in at 99/5 a tremendous display of temperament. Man he always seems to score runs in a crisis .

Hockey has been responsible for so many sa batters forming a good skillset against spin , something CSA should take note of and perhaps ensure Hockey is well looked after in the country.

We have 5 keepers in our line up if Verreynne is feeling sore surely one of them can pick up the gloves

It's okay man , they have batted brilliantly together, besides we need some overs from Mulder maybe a good thing he can rest a bit before the innings concludes

A maiden test 50 for Mulder that must be a huge relief for the lad , this is great for SA cricket if Verreynne can become a no.6 and Mulder a No.7 then all of a sudden we have some decent batting depth when Marco Jansen comes back at no.8 , and they all at good ages too.

Both have things in common I suppose , both around the same age , both highly rated as potential superstars in domestic cricket , both have kinda struggled for consistency but it seems to be coming together now and long may it continue.

The saddest for me is Harmer .. For 20 odd years we battled in international cricket with bang average redball spinners , had Harmer been a cricketer from the 90's he would have played 100+ test matches.. I believe he is nearing 1000 FC wickets now.

Oh no Jack was a freaking nightmare ,but sadly very injury prone..We had a few like that in the 90's but he was my favorite in the domestic scene

I would say it's our day in theory , but we are batting last and anything under 100 for a lead, the Bangladeshis will believe they can skittle us for 150 in the 4th innings

I know modern teams are sensitive, but I reckon the batting group deserve a good telling off from the bowlers .. The West Indies was the same story. Had Piedt and Burger not put on a decent partnership in one of the Test matches we would have not won the series. Bowlers are constantly asked...
