Promising definately the word, it seems to be all first act so far. Really taking its time to set up the story, which I quite like. Showing respect to the material and that.

Pacing individual episodes is an issue - especially the third episode, which tbh is more or less all dialogue - but it more makes up for it by the quality of the actors and a cracking script. Production values are nice and high, it's not far from Hollywood spending, and that pays off too.

I got the impression with the third episode was that it shouldn't have ended where it did, but hey, if my only problem with it was that there wasn't enough, that's a 5-star review, no?

The Roller was demoed by oasis, apparently, from about 2001 onwards, but they never got round to doing anything with it.

There's things like the 'woo' in Wind Up Dream, the piano in Bring the Light, stuff like that, Noel would have said, no, not ****in' havin that!

Obviously the song quality would go up if you had half the songs written by him but really, Andy and Gem have broken free a bit here and Liam's writing was as good as Noel's on the last two albums anyway, IMO.

Yeah decent episode but nothing spectacular. I daresay late season 1 and early season 2 set the bar so high that it is very difficult for the show to have kept that level for so long.

I thought the Trot, Abed and Pierce parody of Indecent Proposal was hilarious though.

Also the line from the background classroom characters about how its another class all about them was very funny.
