  • Good to hear it.

Sorry if I get a bit full on when I disagree with you. I like your posts but find that when I disagree, I REALLY disagree, haha
It wasn't meant as a personal attack mate, just expressing my disbelief at your opinion, sorry if I caused offence
I have nfi what the date was, so I'll take your word for it.

Lollin at the India game btw. Should have unbanned aussie after the first test in retrospect, just for this test on now.
Science journalism in NZ is pretty non-existent tbh. It's very hard to break into as well. I'll probably need to work in the industry for a few years first.

I'll probably end up taking the easy money and going into oil and gas etc anyway:p Unless you're a bigwig, journos are massively overworked and underpaid in a shrinking (people wise) industry. It's the main reason I jumped ship.
I was in journalism but switched because I like geography/geology and the BSc is apparently better for scientific journalism, which was what I was going to do anyway, so it's win-win. I'll either move into a "sciencey" job or try for the science journalism.
Haha, I swear I read something similar to that empathy line in an article on Nurse Practitioners. All the expertise of an MD with the empathy and care of a nurse. Awww.
I hear the promising new frontier is therapeutics based off the memory of water molecules :-)
    yeah, very informative, tbh.

How do you plan on adjusting to the sunlight after your three years of PhD, though? :p
You'll have all the time in the world to talk to yourself about quantum mechanics as you keep track of bowel movements, urine outputs, drip rates and do all the leg work to and from the lab tbh :p
Also, how does an MD/Phd program work? Longer duration or just more work crammed into the same number of years?
