  • Mate, go take a look at site discussion forum and my thread on Burgey. Am I being unreasonable?
    Interesting.

I don't think I could go that way (though obviously the people you mentioned felt the same way at some point). Personal safety is the point at which I'm willing to suffer the loss of some freedom and cede control to an ostensibly neutral force. I'd prefer that local communities have more control over policing, but I wouldn't support it being optional for people to have some stake in it.

Keeping it neutral is obviously a major issue, but I think it would equally be a problem in an opt in system anyway.
    Prince EWS - Booooo

I should actually have this discussion with you. I can see the arguments, I just think we need to transition into it. In some ways I think we've created a dependent populous and if we went all the way into having no government we would not have the cultural infrastructure for anarchy to succeed. Much like how a long-term welfare recipient may never adopt self-sufficiency, there are too many people dependent on these programs to take them away without inciting full blown communists to 'save' them.

I was watching an old interview with Friedman the other day and he was talking about how hard it is to remove government or reduce the size but how much easier it is to grow it. And I guess that's how it happens, like the frog in the pot we get cooked. And I guess I can see how government itself will always be a cancerous lump, even when you institute something that the Founders in America did.
Yeah I can see that, same way the Islam is Violent crowd wash up on the same side as ISIS.
Thanks for responding seriously to my offensive post (although an emotional outburst would have been interesting to see, since I'm pretty sure it's never happened before). I was asking the question sincerely, fwiw. I wasn't expressing a view so much as asking someone to explain why I shouldn't hold that view. I'm just probing, because my internet bubble has recently become plagued by atrociously poor-quality conservative takes, and my natural instinct is to think that there MUST be an intellectually coherent, ethically justifiable root somewhere. So yeah uh thanks for putting in effort to defend an ideology you don't even believe in.
Thanks, ****. I now live in Merrylands for the foreseeable future.
Know of any cheap private rooms to rent in Parramatta? Need basic furnishings and wifi. And I need it in 3-5 days. I checked gumtree but its a little confusing.
I did try SL since it was posted by SL first but still failed. I guess YouTube is smarter than your average VPN.
I mean what country would you have to be 'living' in to watch the youtube link?
Yeah, Chrome is also giving me other issues. If I open a new tab and try to type anything into the address bar, it freezes for either 15 seconds or permanently. Should give that a shot.
So did Win 10 zoom everything when you tried to scroll in Chrome? Same here and its making me antsy as ****. Wtf is chrome canary?
Hey Cribb and Jack, did either of you ever bowl with Tim Nielsen's Aggot training ball? It was basically a ball that's still 156g, except with its cheeks cut off.

Would it be a good training aid for a kid who's sort of under-cutting the spin on his SLA, or is it better to just source a high FPS camera to get a clearer idea of whether the angle of spin's improving or not.
