  • That's the idea. If you can do it, great, but otherwise I'll do it tomorrow... assuming I remember.
Haha not really. I was just going to "map" the retentions to however many rounds we have - so 16 rounds effectively spread out over 17 or 18 with respect to retentions.

I'll the first draft order this evening. Cannot imagine how snowed in I am with work.
It's not just the quality of players. You tend to pick players because you like them too, not just because they're good. I didn't pick the team, and these are not the players I'd usually pick in a draft. I wouldn't even have retained Sehwag; he's not worth taking a bye in round 1 for, as things stand now. And like I said, I disagree with retention in online leagues (easy for me to say when I don't have any players to retain, hahaha). Real-world leagues can do that because noob teams can seek to compensate for this handicap by putting in superior efforts in other areas (like training players, scouting etc), and even then it's only over the long haul. You can't replicate these in the CPL. IMO, makes no sense to replicate certain aspects of real world leagues (the continuity), while not being able to replicate the aspects that allow new teams to try and overcome that disadvantage.
No idea, tbh. I assume PEWS's sim takes into account recent performances, in which case Sehwag doesn't book a great chance of retention. Shakib didn't do well enough last season. No idea about the rest.
Himannv's already expressed his interest in the declarations thread. Might have missed his post.
Combination of time issues and the retention clause. I don't like starting off at a disadvantage :p Not gonna lie, I probably might have voted in favour of retention if I had a few players I'd have wanted to keep.
Hmmm. How does S2 work? Do guys get to retain players etc.? And then I'll be away for a month or so at least in May/June, so not sure how that'll work out?
Mate, it's just an awful business all around. Really knocked me for six I confess. Poor bloke. It's just so out and out wrong.
Well, who knows. Not sure if anyone knows him off forum or on facebook like Craigos. At least I can vouch that Volty's in fine fettle but it took over a month to find out about Craig and people are friends with him on facebook. I can't see how we'd ever know about the majority of guys on here.
Yeah, timeless if possible. None of this bull**** with 1st innings points wins or anything like that. Have a proper final.

Ofc that means no declarations either.
