I've only got one stumping this season, which was a leg side job. Combination of batsmen not wanting to risk it against a keeper they know will have them in a heartbeat and inattentive square leg umpires who aren't expecting stumping shouts in the first over of an innings.
As to inners, well, if I start dropping balls I'll consider it. I had wet inners on Thursday night... and wet outers, wet pads, wet helmet, wet shoes, wet whites... utterly ridiculous conditions. Quote - "it was like taking guard in a chicken curry".
Batting wise, one of the boys in my U11 side at the moment has a tendency to get inner edges off balls in the corridor that are angled back in to him - he's a bottom-hand dominant player in the way that the bat goes hard across the ball sometimes if the balance is wrong, resulting in a closed face and chop-on.
To me, in-to-out, will result in playing with a massively open face, and that's only going to lead to drag-ons if you reach for one well outside off peg.
